Question on USB Connector for Music

This may be a dumb question,
But for the EX option, since it doesn't have a AUX plug, can you listen to music by plugging in your phone via the USB? I know you can use bluetooth but I usually like listening through a physical connection to my phone. Does USB do that?

You can select USB as an input. I tend to leave mine on Bluetooth (even with it plugged in) since it seems to keep a better connection when a text or google map directions pop up!

Yep! Sounds great and can navigate through your playlists, albums, etc when it's hooked up to USB (at least with iPhone for sure) whereas with Bluetooth it just plays from your phone and you can't navigate through menus on the screen. USB you can navigate on the touchscreen, it sounds better, no skipping, and the USB charges your phone at the same time!

I recommend to buy a retractable cable USB>whatever your phone uses. They look nice and neat when not in use instead of having a cable hanging all over the place. I don't like putting my phone in the storage console so I have the retractable plugged up front.

No experience with Androids but I have used a USB Drive and it works just fine to navigate through the various folders/albums ... I have not tried a playlist this way though...

No USB support for Android on the new Fit audio system. I was told by everyone I spoke to at Honda that this feature worked, but I can tell you IT DOES NOT WORK. Honda customer service used to chime in on these posts and suggest calling the In Car Technology Department. Funny, you will notice that is not happening anymore as Honda is backing away, not moving forward with Android, in spite of what was told to their customers.

I just keep a iPod plugged in the center console USB port and that gives me the iTunes layout on the display. Works great!
