trying to do some homework before getting blind sighted at the finance office
#41
Happy Honda customer so far...
My dealer was fine. I went with my credit union for financing as I've got some credit issues and want to build it up. Capitol One offered a better rate than last time, but the credit union was better, and I like them more. Stuck to MSRP of 19025 that was Truecar price (and what was posted on their website). I put a deposit down on one in transit and received what might be the first Yellow Fit EX in Austin a couple days later. Did not try to fight their no-haggle price. Only option I got was the locking hubs ($104 worth it. I live in iffy neighborhood). Turned down everything else, and they didn't push too hard, just offered. Doc fee was $125, which was reasonable. No stupid fees or add ons. I pick it up tomorrow, will post mileage data once I drive it for a while. So far, I'm very pleased with First Texas Honda and my salesman John Fisher. Our other dealer, Howdy Honda, Steve Gonzales, was very helpful as well, and let me test drive both a CVT and a manual; unfortunately for him, the yellow ones in transit there were already spoken for, so I got the one I could. They were both quite pleasant to deal with. I think they know that Austin folk are always online and watching...
