New to the forum and new to Fits

Just purchased my first Honda Fit last weekend, 2015 EX-L with nav in Modern Steel Metalic. Have had a great time getting to know the car so far. Have driven it pretty lightly to date, but am looking forward to pushing it a bit after the break in period. Also, can't wait to get the windows tinted.

Have found lots of helpful info and insight here so far. Can't wait to see the rest of the new Fits in the coming weeks.

Nice pic! Is it just me, or does the Modern Steel Metallic have a bit of a purple/lavender tint to it?

Congrats!!!

Nice color. Pic posted has great resolution. Was that your cell phone????

Wheels will look even more awesome after window tint.

Have been doing a lot of tint research lately and will be settling on either Madico or Huper. Knowing my "cheapness", it likely will be Madico Charcool 20%. Neverthess, installer charge is around $300. Huper is worse at $500 but reviews are beyond "good".

Gotta post again after your tinting is done!!!

Been pretty cloudy in the mornings, but that's normal in the summer. One dealership here offered me a white EX-L, but I was holding out for MSM.

I see what you mean in that picture. Haven't noticed that before.

That's not a bad color at all. I also thought the lighting was giving the paint a purple-ish hue. Thanks for sharing the pics!

I own a Modern Steel Metallic. It's pretty much gunmetal gray.

No purple tint.

Yes, pic from cell phone. I don't know much about tint, since last car I owned/tinted I bought and had tinted 12 years ago. Looking for someone reputable and reasonable in San Diego area. Just like this Fit purchase, I'm sure I'll do my homework on brands and installers before pulling the trigger.

Well, if you're ever in the Chino Hills/Chino/Ontario area, you should check out this tinting place. My coworker got a quote from them for $130 (2013 Insight). He called another one in Costa Mesa and it's double the price! Sounds like a steal! I'm gonna go there when I get my White Fit!

Make sure you are getting a quality tint job with a lifetime warranty. Don't want it bubbling or fading on you and turning purple.

Also, what kind of tinting is it? Dyed? Metallic? Hybrid? Ceramic?

My coworker asked the owner and he said it's lifetime warranty. As for the type of tinting, he didn't ask. :P
