From website info Honda has now allowed only two colors on the LX with the manual transmission. Just like Ford have to move up and pay more to get the color you want.

And no more EX manuals, either. Boo!

Buying the Sport over the LX is a no-brainer to me. 7-inch screen, carplay/auto, red stitched cloth, black wheels, cool bodykit, manual, colorful. well worth the extra 1k

I guess that the combination of manual transmission and Honda Sense was so unpopular that it's no longer worth listing.

I'd have liked that.

seems to be a few different versions of the 2020 being shown , one looks just like the '19 , one looks like the honda robot , and one looks kinda cool ( less cartoonish front end treatment ) i hope we're not getting the cartoon

Larger dealers already have 2020 cars, and they are clearly GK5.

If you search their inventories, you will find them easily.

Gotta wonder if, beings as the 4th gen is being sold everywhere else, that the "2020" GK5 Fits going to be sold here in the US are just NOS leftovers from '19. Can't see them producing GK5s for such a pretty limited market

The first gen Fit was sold here in 2008 while the GE debuted everywhere else that year so I’m not surprised. We seem to get each new generation Fit a year behind other markets.

Few things I noticed on the 2020 Fit LX:
1. CVT option is only $800, not $1000 (so a cost savings)
2. MPG has dropped in the base from 43 HWY to 40.

Was there a gearing or tire change for the base? That is unusual. I always understood the base got better mpg than other models but only because of thinner tires.

I wasn't able to tell why - but the drop in cost on the CVT tells me they standardized on something to save cost at the expense of 3 MPG highway. I'm glad I pulled the trigger in 2019 - given my 60 mi RT commute.

The specs show that the 15" wheels on the LX are still available and the final drive ratio is 0.408 across the range. I don't have the 2019 specs in front of me but i wonder if they re-mapped for slightly more power on the highway for drive feel and CVT longevity (less change in ratio or forces during at speed driving). $200 less in CVT cost is huge - I wonder what they standardized on to save 20% on a part? 6MT looks available but they must build them...

It appears that Honda reduced the 2019 Fit LX with CVT down to 40 from 43 on their site. Final drive and top gear ratios are the same. So now I'm more perplexed unless there was a 2019 to 2020 change in EPA estimation and Honda's "back-dating" the rating. I'll try to avoid and new computer updates to the ECM/PCM in case thats affect my 3 MPG highway.

Could just be the method EPA uses to gauge mileage has changed. It wouldn't be the first time.

Yeah it is probably just the way numbers are calculated.

Honda didn't change anything for the likely last year of a lame duck model.

Any price drop for the CVT is most likely changes in foreign currency exchange rate, savings from making one model instead of two or amortization of design and tooling costs.
