MODS/ACCESSORIES for the GK

I cannot comment, I dont own any coilovers to put a firm opinion. I have simply noticed some people on here not being happy with the life of their Megan coilovers.
D2 and Ksport are the same coilovers, so research doubles on them. Function and Form Type II's seem to be a great budget coilover.
research is key of course.
No swaybars and it was better? EG/DC2 chassis were similar across 4dr and hatch models. Slight rigidity difference, but strengths were similar. biggest issue I ever had with any 88-2000 civic/integra was rear subframe tearout. Too stiff of suspension without proper bracing or seam welding meant that rear subframe was crying for mercy around every corner

Anyone found a set of metal replacement Pedals for a 6MT?
I saw some on ebay for an auto but a manual set would be great.
I had them on my BMW and i feel like they make a great difference to way it feels. Also anyone found a shift knob that is slightly higher then stock, weighted, and fits correctly?

spaghetina I will try to remember to post back here when I take off the dip. I actually used the Duplicolor version as it is easily available here.
I thought the black might get lost in with the dark grey but it looks great on a red gk:

I also got a tin of red to see how it sits with the grey too.

What are u using to lower your Fit?? Also which yr/model emblem is that one for?? It would be helpful for those who want to do that mod....

It's like Christmas.....
Very well packaged
U boxed and complete. Quality looks good. I lit all the emblems using a 12 v battery charger they all work well. Just from looking at them I say they are a good buy. Test fit looked good.
Tech will install/wire them up tomorrow... I do not mess with electrical....

Hi, that is not my Fit but if you go to JDM Select on Facebook, they have the red H emblems for the GK now. They are in the Phillipines but have quoted to paint and post a Mugen copy body kit to Australia. It is the lower lip spoiler and side skirt seen in the pic.

Active Again
Wow, has there been a lot of activity since I last came to this site. You guys with the super cool looking lowering, wheel spacers, interior lighting etc..........
Definitely devilizing the rest of our GK community.
Here is my plain jane LX.
Started to install all my accessories (listed in the 1st post on this thread). So far have done a Blox Shifter knob.
Got a leather steering wheel cover (Wheelskins - made in the USA) for me and my neighbor (EX-CVT) and helped him this afternoon do the install. Mfg. says an hour. Its more like 2 hours + and that was two of us. Not perfect but definitely feels like the real thing. Can't go wrong for $50. Do not get the ones they sell for the GE. Its slightly bigger and won't have the exact fit. I measure mine and made the Special Order. Its 14 1/4" and 3 7/8".
Still have a ton of stuff to install. Next will be painting the calipers (red), installing the caliper Honda sticker, 16" alloys, rear JDM upper tail-lights. Won't happen tomorrow - its NFL Sunday.
BTW, has anyone here taken out the OEM stereo H/U??? Anyone install amps or the like??? The only place I can find for my audio stuff in under the two front seats. Any tips would be great.
Did a short 50 mile jaunt just to see what kind of mileage I could get with the manual. Was able to squeeze 46 MPG doing 60 mph (60% hwy and 40% city - no A/C) and watching that eco green light. Pretty pleased with those results. Will post what I finally get after my first fill-up.
So nice to be back!!!!!!!!

Rottboy!!!!!!
Rottboy!!!! Welcome back! You are finally having a Hawaiian FIT! Looks SWEET and CLEAN!
I think there IS some info in this thread from folks who have upgraded the stereo system, not sure if they replaced it entirely (this thread has gotten HUGE)
Yes there certainly has been a lot of activity ... YOUR thread has gone viral ... tons of good info contained within.
You're gonna have a blast with your upgrades/mods. Make sure to post pics of your progress!

Tmfit/Cheezwhiz, certainly nice to be back. Still learning a lot from the guys who have posted since my FF break in July. Lowering really makes the ride look super cool. Congrats to bbmouthh - what a great job!!!! My bad luck as the driveway entrance is just too steep to allow for lowering.
Woke up early today before kick-off and installed the following. My Fit is beginning to look a bit too busy. One thing for sure, if you guys ever see my ride parked on the island, you'll know its mine for sure!!!!
- Installed the rear bumper applique, emblem red stick-on and the i-VTEC placque. Will tackle the JDM upper LED lights on Tuesday onwards.
- Interior LED lights. Used flat rectangular LED strips (EBAY) as I find them brighter with a softer effect than LED bulbs. They are slightly pricier.
- Front Red Badge Sticker
- Steering Wheel Red Badge Sticker
That's it for today. Back to football!!!

This week will work installing and wiring on those LED upper rear taillights, mount the park assist sensors, paint and sticker the calipers, then install the alloys. For sure to continue posting pics as the developement progresses.
Am doing all the easy stuff first.
The part that will take time is sound deadening and stereo upgrade. Its driving me nuts finding a secure place for the components.
