Carbon Fiber CVT Belt

Carbon Fiber CVT Belt
I'm new here so excuse my enthusiasm as I'm like this with every new car that I have owned. Also, I know next to nothing about CVT trannies but I'm learning. Anyway, since I plan on modifying my 2015 Honda Fit CVT, it seems there may be some concerns about the durability/reliability of the CVT tranny. In particular, the belt breaking.
So......I contacted a company that makes carbon fiber CVT belts for ATVs that run turbo/nitrous, etc to see what their thoughts are in maybe designing a carbon fiber belt off of a stock CVT one. Just inquiring! The belt I read about is a G-Force C12 Carbon Fiber Belt for a CVT tranny. The company is called 'Gates'. I sent them an email to to see what their thoughts are on this.
You never know if someone on here will be able to bolt on a turbo made for the manual trannied unit on their auto and this being a concern. Company website address is here--> Gates
Yes, I'm crazy. Always have been with weird thoughts to try. That's all for now.

I advise you to avoid a CVT transmission equipped fit if you eventually plan on boosting it.
While Honda's CVT trannies are generally reliable with proepr maintenance, forced induction will be cruel to it.

I won't be boosting it. Just basic intake, exhaust and pulley if possible. The rest of my focus will be on lightness, especially any rotating parts. This is mainly for those that choose to take this route and to be able to support moderate boost (5psi or so).

OP, using google translate, search on co.jp domain sites. You can be sure that someone in Nihon has already tried this. I wouldn't be surprised if the Honda specialty / racing shops already have bolt-on kits.

The Gates company did send me back a reply. Here is what they said -->
"Kevin,
Thanks for contacting Gates. We have been made aware of this style of CVT belts. Unfortunately, these are what is known as hot oil bath belts and are completely different from the G-Force CVT belts we currently offer for recreational vehicles (Snowmobiles, ATV’s. UTV’s). That being said, we are currently looking into these belts but it will be a significant amount of time before we have one in the aftermarket. I appreciate you bringing this to our attention and it is something that we are looking into. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Thanks and have a great day.

Just a thought!
