A Honda OEM trash can? That's got to be the weirdest car thing I've heard in a while. Not bad, not poking fun or anything, but never occurred to me that such a thing would exist.

On my 2015 LX-

Lowered on Megan springs with Koni Orange shocks (from a GE, works fine)
Enkei RPF1 wheels, 16x7, the 15" are lighter but you lose performance tire options
Camber bolts because they rubbed after lowering
Progress rear sway (best single mod for this car)
Fastbrakes rear disc conversion (don't get HP+ pads, they squeal like crazy)
Hasport solid rear mount (thinking this was a waste of money)
RV6 catless downpipe (great performance, horrible rasp, get the catted version)
Magnaflow muffler welded on by local shop to remove the rasp
Homemade plywood trunk floor/hatch, got rid of the foam tray and keep a rifle in there instead.

Would be getting a gas pedal relocation bracket but probably selling the car soon.

Pretty much any lowering springs will be stiff enough that they won't be a good match for the factory shock damping rates. The only shocks I've seen anyone use here are the Koni Orange, unless they go for HFP shocks to match HFP springs, or full coilovers.

If I had it to do over, I'd give coilovers a serious look. Not for the corner weighting, though that's a good thing, but for what sounds like better damping from more expensive shocks. The Konis with my spring rate feel like they're a decent match, but they're a little harsh. The car can become unsettled over rough pavement, like a damping rod fork on a motorcycle compared to a cartridge setup. Some folks here with coilovers report a more plush ride over broken and potholed surfaces while remaining stiff enough to control a stiffer spring.

Mods so far:
-Sumole air cooler
-Drop in k&n air filter
-RV6 catted header/collector
-2¼" "B" pipe (will do "mandrel bend" if it works)
-Tanabe Medallion axle back
-CRZ BuddyClub short Shifter
-Acuity shifter cable bushings
-Acuity accel. pedal reloc. bracket
-KTuner V2

Intake mods...

-Covered up all sound deadening holes on oem airbox to force all air through intake to the throttle body
-k&n drop in filter

Fun part...

Got ahold a used but nice condition CR-V throttle body and since it WON'T fit the oem intake manifold a friend of mine and I fabricated an aluminum spacer to adapt it...

-I also disassembled the oem elbow from the airbox and used a 63mm x 70mm 90 degree elbow since that is the "bottleneck" of the tiny intake....

SIDE NOTE:
i haven't been able to dyno it, but... the "butt dyno" feels pretty good after the mods

This beautiful piece arrived. See what it can do. So far the mods haven't wowed me or anything. Let's see if this can. My next to do is probably lowering spring rsr tie down on stock shocks.

which durometer did you settle on?

Mine just looked like rubber without the text, wonder why they were different. Initially when I installed my Hasport mount my car sounded like it was about to rattle itself to pieces, but after a few months it settle down quite nicely. I do appreciate not feel okie that small “thunk” from the engine moving back and forth.

I think you’ll be fine. It’ll take a bit to break in so you’ll hear and feel some NVH, but it will eventually settle down so don’t worry!

Good stuff mate. Acuity products have been, meh! The ultra racing sway bar and continental c6 195 55 sitting on R15 rims have been the real good worth it mods. Learning these as i go along. lol. Might go with the heavier skunk 2 gear knob as the acuity one is just not heavy enough for that shift feel i am after.
