Buying this week, need pricing help - 2020 EX

Great forum here, I've learned a lot browsing through years of posts! I'm close to pulling the trigger 2020 EX and want to get feedback from the group on a good price. I got some great offers on LX's (about $16k) but dealers don't want to move as much on the EX's. So far I'm getting offered $19k on a 2020 EX. I'm thinking I can get down to $18k with some negotiation. Do you think that's reasonable? I'd appreciate advice on what others paid in the past couple of years for EX's.

That seems reasonable all things considered. You can try to negotiate your out the door price after registration fee and sales tax to match the window sticker price.

I paid $18,023 + TTL on my 2019 EX. I'd say $18,200 is reasonable.

Thanks guys, this is very helpful - yeah, I should have clarified, talking price pre-TTL as this varies by state. Sounds like low $18k range is reasonable. I'm not quite there so far, but hoping to get there - might need to go a little further out. Appreciate any other comments re: deals on 2018-2020 EX's as they are pretty much identical. Prices are better on 2019's but there are very few EX's left and none in my desired colors.

That's quite good for an EX - I wonder what the EX you're looking at comes with as Standard (AT?, Sense, Heated Seats, Navi, ...)? 2019 LXs without HondaSense (bare bone LX) was going for $16300-$17100 last year as reported by FF users.

2020 EX is carry over of 2019 - CVT only, comes with Honda Sensing, not leather (that's EX-L which also adds heated seats). Also NAV is not an option on 2020's. Contacted a few more dealers and best I'm getting offered is $19k. Hoping I can get one down to $18.5k. I'd like to make a deal, especially since 2020 is likely the last year of the Fit in the US (at least according to the rumor mill)!?

Wow - 18.5K in July 2019 for a 2019 EX would have been a miracle in New England. Best I could do on the low budget LX with nothing but CVT was $17 out the door - that took me almost 4 hours of negotiations with a few times to walk away...

My dad got his for $18,200, October 2019 in Portland OR. Since it’s the end of the month, you might be able to get the dealer to drop to your price easily if they need the quota for manufacture kickback. Good luck!

I really appreciate all of the feedback, it's helping me validate a real price here. I'm offering $18,350 to make a deal on Saturday (which is last day of the month). Fingers crossed one of the dealers accepts, I will let y'all know! :-)

I joined the club! I was going back and forth between blue and orange. Couldn't find any orange locally for about a month now. Sure enough, one of my three local dealers got two orange EX's mid-week. I went down to see blue and orange side-by-side and though it was a bit of a toss up for me, my wife and daughter are huge fans of the orange, so I went that route. It's quite striking and unique, really changes shades depending on lighting.

On the price, I was really shooting for $18,350 or $18,500 max but I couldn't get them to go down that far, at least not on the orange. Seems it's the least common color (Cars.com says about 50 orange EX's nationwide). Best I could get was $18,800 and no charge for all of the dealer extras they pad it with (nitrogen, paint protection, etc). I'm reasonably happy with the deal given, by my calculations, invoice + destination - holdback is $19,119. So ended up at about 6% off MSRP.

Congrats on the purchase. The best consideration made was using the consensus of the women in your household! A happy home environment is worth more than any dealer discount! Orange is rare plus not difficult to maintain. Create your pictorial thread in 3rd Gen Photo Section once delivered!!!

Congrats on your new car! Happy wife, happy life...

I picked up a silver 2020 EX last week for $17,944 + TTL thanks to $1000 loyalty incentive (traded in a Honda) and $500 dealer trade-in incentive.

Not for FIT but for the Pilot i think haha Mine is the EX silver, wanted the steel color at first but the matte finished doesn't look good close up in person. Mostly sitting in the garage as well, and wash it every time after going out LOL (so far)
