Nose Mask?

I am usually not a fan of these but I think they look kind of cool on the Fit. Was just curious if anyone is running there Fit with the Nose Mask. There are not that many images of the '15 Fit with the Nose Mask on.

Also, I went to get a quote on clear bra/paint protection today and was quoted $1,200. Seems insanely expensive! Can that quote be accurate?

Quote sounds extremely high. Should be roughly 1/2 that or less. I was quoted $499 for front bumper partial hood and fenders side mirrors.

The nose mask is worth every penny! I have one. I'll try to take a picture later today to show how it looks. Its on the car now, though I routinely take it off once a week to clean it and the surface underneath it.

I'm having a clear bra installed on Thursday, and I was quoted $750, which includes 9% tax (so ~$688 before tax). It's the Suntek brand, which is supposed to be self-healing, and covers the bumper, partial hood, fenders, and mirror backs. I got a quote from another shop just down the road for $795, and they use 3M, which I've read has some issues with cracking and yellowing, though it's also self-healing, and they include door edge strips.

Since I'm here in the SF Bay Area, I expect for labor/services to generally cost more than in other parts of the country, but others have told me that the quotes I was given are in the normal range. I would think that in NY, the prices would be comparable to out here, so if you have other options, I would shop around some more. FWIW, I used Yelp to help me find a place that did both tint and PPE, and had stellar reviews.

I actually love the look of the magnet bra and considered getting one (especially for the price), except that that portion of the hood has historically given me the least amount of problems with nicks and chips. My bumpers, on the other hand, have been chip magnets.

Agreed about the bumper however I had hood-chips within the first few days of highway driving and needed something immediately. So far the magnet has worked well (2 weeks?) and have removed to check - no hood damage from bra. Need to do something about my bumper as well ... lots of information on this forum about paint protection ... read through the threads

While I was looking for full protection for the forward facing parts of the car, I really just like the magnet bra aesthetically. I think it looks sleek and cool. May go that route for the hood and try to do the rest myself.

Magnet Bra has been purchased and is back up and running. I would appreciate it if you could let others know that we are back in business. We have a new website up and running We are looking for pictures of cars with their older magnet bra's to show how well they stand up over time. Thanks! magnetbra.com

Carbon Fiber Wrap.

That's what I did to my 2015 hood. Looks like I have a Carbon Fiber hood.
