Alloy 15x5.5 wheels

I know that the stock size 175/65R15 tires will fit on a 6" wide wheel. The Fit base comes with steel 5.5" wheels that I use for snow tires and I hope to keep the width in alloy* for my 3-season tires.

These are the 5.5" alloy wheels that I have found with 4x100 bolt pattern. I would be glad to hear about other 5.5" wheels that will fit the Fit. I am listing them by brand and model since the URL can (and will) change.

These are all 15x5.5 with 4x100 bolt pattern. Each listing shows the offset.

I'd also be glad to hear about "interesting" steel wheels; the 19-hole stock wheel looks lopsided with its large holes on one half and small holes on the other.

Thx.

*Steel wheels are made from alloys of iron as much as "alloy" wheels are made from alloys of aluminum. In everyday language though, aluminum-based wheels are referred to as alloy and steel whees are not. Only a hopeless nit-picker would write a paragraph like this.

All of those would work just fine.

Tire Rack and Discount Tire sell 15x6 steel wheels that will work but are not hub centric. 2001-2004 Honda Civic steel wheels are 15x5.5 and would work.

Do not use Toyota 4x100 wheels or Mazda either. The hub is too small.

^^ Agreed.

According to Tire Rack's spec list for the 175/65R15 Dunlop SP31 A/S (tire usually equipped with GE8 Base) you can safely run a wheel as narrow as 5 inch to as wide as 6 inches.

Also, if you are looking for another OEM alternative... MINI (Just-A-) Cooper wheels will work as well. The Just-A-Cooper's 15s are 5.5 inches and width and usually are light weight as well as the same PCD and hub bore if memory serves me right.

Yes good addition. I've found some smoking deals on old Mini wheels on Craigslist! They are perfect, same hub bore and good offsets and usually pretty light. I was going to buy a set of 15s last week for $200, and then I remembered I had to pay my registration, which was $200. Fail.

Oh I wanted to ask here as well. There seems to be some sort of difference in 09+ Mini wheels, I forgot what it was and I'm on my phone. Will it impact Fit fitment?

Thanks, Wanderer and Hootie for your help.

Tire/wheel web sites are NOT designed for finding these wheels. Some sites filter only by car model then display many pages of wheels with no width until you look at each specific model to find out they're all 7" wide. Many don't show offset or backspacing at all. Some sites filter by diameter, stud pattern, and width -- down to a minimum width of about 7".

Bore diameter? Rarer still. Good to know about the Toyota and Mazda bore being too small. I know I can use a spacer, but want to avoid that too.

And it's good to know that Mini Cooper 15s will fit.

Again, THANKS.
