Team Dynamics 17x7 & +50?
So I was browsing and found this on Team Dynamics' site:
Team Dynamics Racing
It looks like you can get their Pro Race 1 in a 17x7 with a +50 offset.
This seems like a very ideal size to run for trouble free fitment, especially with a 205/40/17 tire.
Any thoughts on this wheel size on the GE8?

Those wheel dimensions should work on a GE. I used the dimensions of the Mugen XJ wheels Honda offers for the GE (16x6.5 ET+55) since it is a OEM wheel that comes with 205/50R16s (~24.1 inch outer diameter) from Honda when keying in the information opposed to the Sport's 16x6 ET+53 wheel which comes with 185/55R16s (~24 inch).
According to the wheel offset calculator on 1010tires.com you'd only have 1mm less on the inside of the wheel and the outside of the wheel will stick out 11mm further than the XJs with a wheel of your desired dimensions.
I think you may want to consider 205/45R17s (~24.3 inch) tires instead of 205/40R17 (~23.5 inch) tires though, unless of course you want to slightly shorten your gear ratio and improve your acceleration. The reason being is that the 40 is a shorter tire (overall height wise) which will make your speedometer read faster than the speed you're actually travelling and rack up miles on your odometer faster. In addition to that they have a smaller, stiffer sidewall which won't absorb the initial shock of a bump as well as a 45 series or other any tire with a larger sidewall.
