17x7 CR KAIs

Hi how's it going!

I'm a new Jazz owner from Australia, and a proud one too!
I've got a Base model Jazz, the ones you guys don't have in the U.S (1.3L)

Anyway, I've been offered a set of WORK EMOTION CR KAI in Bronze. The size is 17x7 +42.
Let's say I wrap them in 205 or 195 tyres and I've got stock suspension...

Will they rub?
Will they look like 4wd?
Will it fit the jazz?

Just want to know for sure before I decide on them.
The jazz currently has 15'' steelies with 175 tyes.

Thanks!! , Taxi

you should be fine. I have 17x7 +40 wrapped in 205/40/17 and i have no issues at all. i am at stock height btw. you may rub if you go with a 45 sidewall so id stick with 40 if ur getting the wider tire. u might be able to get away with a 45 with a 195 but dont quote me. cr kai's are nice, what kind of deal you getting? if you dont mind me asking.

Thanks for the reply Java! Well they are second hand, comes with tyres for $800AUD. I'm going to try and bring it down to $700 but the thing is, I was looking at new Rota's and here they are $900 and new Buddy Club/Enkei's are $1100 at least.
EvilOne, your fit is nice I wish we had the US Front Car. But don't we all wish for things we can't have? lol

Need some more help please!!

Hey guys so I've just tried on the wheels out of boredom. Haven't taken them for a spin yet because I wanted to wait for my lip kit too.
(Unfortunately it'll be delayed because of a car accident, sighh)

Anyway, this is 17x7 +42 CR Kais with 205/40/17 tyres.

To me, it seems like the gap is HUGE!
Obviously I want to decrease it so I'm thinking of lowering it on springs but the thing is I heard rolling on 205/40/17 tyres will make the ride super bumpy as the tyres are thin.

So I'm thinking, should i go 205/45/17? (Actually do I need to stick with 205 in the first place?)

Or,, my second option is to buy a new set of wheels.
The Axis OG Sakura's, 15x8 +25.

Will these fit on my stock tyres? 175/65/15 ?

Sorry guys I know this is quite a few questions but if there's anywhere to ask it'll be here

cliff notes
- wheel gap is huge and tyre is thin with 205/40/17
- i don't want springs if it's a bumpy ride
- should i get a thicker tyre? will it help close the gap? move comfortable?
- should i just get 15x8 sakura's, will they fit stock tyres? 175/65/15 ? ?

I think the cr kai's look great on your car man! Personally i roll on 205/40/17's and love it, especially if you lower ur not going to want a thicker sidewall. I am awaiting coil overs for mine and it should still be ok. I reccomend swift springs for you if you dont want coilovers, everyone with them thinks they are perfect for a modest drop and comfort.

a thicker sidewall will proportionately close your gap a little but it will also raise your car in the process... so that is something to think about.

as far as those axis wheels fitting ur stock tires. I am not too sure about that, of course the diameter will fit but your stretching a 175 which used to be on a 5.5 or 6" wheel to an 8" wheel. seems a little sketchy to me but im not an expert on stretching so you may want to reach out to others for answers on that.
