konig retracks

konig retracks
hey guys, currently i'm running stock rims, with 195/55/R16's lowered on T1R's. i'm rubbing my inner fenders all to shit. i should have went with a 50 series, however i ordered the tires before i lowered the car. i wat a set of konig retracks, and i want them in 15's. i've been doing some pricing and i'm seeing 2 different set ups for 15's. 15x7 with a 40mm offset, and 15x7.5 with a 32mm offset. i have never been able to figure out the whole offset deal, and what exactly the fit is "suppose" to have. so i'm looking for some help, with what would fit right, and the whole offset deal.
thanks guys.
*edit* also, what would be the best tire size for the rims?

well its not that much of a big drop, but basically the more offset a wheel has, the closer it is to the face of the wheel.. the less offset the closer it gets to the brake side.. like this picture pretty much explains it.
but if you run with those 7.5 wide wheels you're probably gonna have some rubbing issues.. theres a member here i think from NJ that has those exact wheels on his ge.

i feel so stupid. lol...i've been looking at that pic, and reading what your wrote for about 10 min now, trying to figure out the differences between each pic. lmao. less offset = bigger dish rim.

Using a 205/50R15 on a 15x7.5 ET+32 would result in a near flush fitment (almost matching with fender) and more than likely you'll have to have your rear wheel wells rolled to run it due to being lowered and the rim's offset. In contrast, the same tire on a 15x7 ET+40 wouldn't stick out of the fender like the other rim but it would be less likely to rub.
For a GE, the tolerance for rubbing (offset wise) when lowered with 205s is +43 if I recall correctly without doing any body alterations. Your best bet if you want a solid answer in for wheel fitment questions is to PM mahout or if you can, find the member here with those wheel/tire dimensions you want to run.
