My rims are 16", they look small because the wheel has a small lip and your eyes focus on the center of the wheel which makes it look like a 15" wheel. I had BBS RX's on another car in the past in looked smallish, those where 17's even.

Thank you all for the compliments on the rims, it appears I made the right choice and honestly, I really like them so much! I'm getting my custom, acrylic domed centercap decals tomorrow more than likely. If I do, I'll install them and show you guys the finished product tomorrow!

 

I wanted the JDM Honda logo, but with the matte gray and orange that was out of the question, so I went with something basic. I think it looks pretty good and for $25.00, can't beat it. These have acrylic doming to protect the decal and they look oh soooo very OEM

I've gotta wait on lowering it till next year as my money now is going for the Dragon run, much more important than lowering the car right now, but trust me, its going to happen and its happening on Swift sport springs for sure Getting the front down 1.3" and rear 1.0" is exactly what I'm looking for and from what everyone says about them as far as that and ride quality, those are for me!

 

I was just quoted a price of $300 to do a dry-look CF vinyl overlay for my hood, decisions decisions That would be half the price of lowering the car and the more I think of it, maybe I should wait till the car gets some miles on it and when I lower the car I can get new struts and shocks for it while I'm having the springs installed

 

Hey just my .02...but you won't need new struts/shocks for upwards of 80k
Seems like a long time to wait...

and btw...I think $300 is too much.
Find a fellow car enthusiast, buy the vinyl and do a diy--many have done it and kenchan says the stuff is VERY forgiving.

I paid $1090 for the tires, wheels, road hazard insurance, tax, etc. I got the rims for about $100 a piece but he cut me a deal because of how long I've been dealing with Discount Tire (14 years) and the fact I bought tires too and sent my buddy there the same day to get tires for his Mazdaspeed 3, kinda like a group buy.

The vinyl decals were made by Motor City Vinyl, $25.00 for the set of 4, whatever you want made, he can do it for you and I must say his customer service is THE BEST!

Let me know what you do and I wanna see some pics. I haven't seen one set of these rims around here yet

I'd like a shot looking straight down the side of your car with the Camera lens at the height of the seam where the front bumper meets the fender. In all actuality, i'm looking for a good reference as to how far +40s poke out compared to the edge of the fender. You did take a good pic in a previous post but from the pov it was hard to tell just how far it sticks out (if at all). Thanks again!!!!

my friend gave me a set 90% tread BMW run flat tires and they are 205/55/16
can I use RFT on a non RFT rim?
any expert out there can help me please?

No problem on the answers, I can handle these for sure. First off, there is no such thing as a run-flat rim, so yes, the tires will work, although if you plan on lowering your car, the extra height of the 205/55 vs. 185/55 could cause rubbing, but if your using stock suspension, no problem at all. Now, what year MINI did those tires come off of? The reason I ask is because the 2nd gen run-flats are waaaaay smoother than the 1st gen. They are Dunlops, right? What model are they?

Even if they are the 2nd gen you'll notice a slightly harsher ride but if you've got a good deal on them, its all good and besides, nothing having the security of run-flats, its a good thing to have quite honestly

It should work without a problem but just know that your going to lose some turn-in when going around corners (reaction time basically) but you'll gain in ride quality which isn't a bad thing in a DD. Its not going be real slow on the turn-in, but depending on the way you drive you may or may not notice it.

I'm still very happy with my set-up, can't wait to lower it next year....or get the Honda sport grill......or the CF vinyl wrap for the hood, decisions, decisions, decisions

My car is OEM sport model, not going to lower the car
what size of tires should I buy in order to avoid the rubbing on the wheel well.

I prefer 205 tire width

IMO, since your not lowering the car, I'd go with a 205-50 to give you a better ride. The profile is a bit taller than my next choice, 205-45's. The 50's will ride a bit better and the 45's will help your turn-in when going around turns. The 45's shouldn't throw the speedo off too much either, so as far as that goes, either one would be fine. Both tire sizes should be readily available
