15's on a Sport?
Hey Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has gone with a set of 15's on their sports yet. I am considering getting a set of 15" RPF-1's because of their low weight of 9.6lbs per wheel. Only thing is I don't have any idea on what tire size to run without any rubbing problems. I will be lowering the car with a moderate drop and do not want to roll or pull my fenders. I was thinking about 195/50r15's since the offset on the wheels is +41mm. Anyone have any input on this idea? They also offer a 16" with a +43mm offset but I believe I would be able to get a lower total weight of wheel and tire with the 15's. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks, Evan

Why would you not recommend 15's? The base GE comes with 15's stock, though they are steel wheels with skinny tires on them. If you are saying 16's for looks that's another thing. It's not a matter of looks for me, I want to decrease the weight of each wheel. Less rotational weight the easier it is to get the car going which can equal more mpg and an improvement in handling.

i have a base... and have 15" rims.. theres no difference in suspension geometry between the sport and the base fits... so there wont be a problem if u have the right offset...
as long as you dont have like 9" width wheels... then you dont have any issue with rubbing...
im running 205/50/R15 tires... no issues... wheels are 15"x6.5 +42 offset

In Canada we have an additional trim level (LX) that comes with the pie-cutter Civic Hybrid wheels (15x5.5). I'm buying a set of 15x7s and keeping the stockers as winter wheels.
I'm going for something like this.

Thought these 15's were pretty legit, plus you can go with a crazy offset apparently

15's will be fine, I'm dropped on Sportlines and I'm running 15x7 with a 43 offset and 205/50 tires. I have absolutely no rubbing issues at all. I previously ran 15x6.5 with 205/50 tires with no problems and that was with a 35 offset.

Yes, and yes
They rub a little bit on bigger bumps... Much less often since I pulled the fenders out though. They rub against the plastic fender liner, in the upper/front area.
