09 aftermarket wheels CAUTION

Its 3mm out. I barely scrape when hit corners hard and fast For now the front is somewhat perfect enough for me. Rears for sure I will be pushing out till I get the real set of rims I want since these are just temps right now.

I've got a chance to get some original Advan RG in 16inch with 205/50r16 tires on. The only problem is that the offset stamped on the back says +31...I'm thinking they're going to rub pretty bad! Is it worth test fitting?
#227
Yes I too think they will rub like the dickens since they are the same diameter, wider tires, on wheekls that are pushed out 22 mm, or nearly 7/8". Add the extra tread width of 10 mm, or 3/8" out, means you would have to have 1.25"? clear. Measure the distance from the fender inner arch to the tread corner of the stock 185/55x16 tires; you won't have 1.25".
Not worth the test.

You will be out about a 1/2 from stock in the front and rear... .should be about flush up front but if you go to a wider tire it might rub over the bumps if you are lowered

Would 17's look too big and ugly on a stock height ride? I know 16's look ok if you don't lower but would 17's be crappy?
The measurements for the wheels I'm looking at:
17X7.5 +45

Yeah 205's most likely. When I went with a friend to get his rims the guy at the shop there had a Fit and asked me what I was going to get and I told him 16's. He said No! Go 17"! I just wanted to make sure it would fit fine. Stock height means no rubbing issue anywhere with that offset right?
#235
Sure this will fit if not lowered and maybe rub on a occasional hard turn or when the car is packed although you are going to look like a 4x4 though.
Your choice ofcourse.

What if I went with a 205/40/16? Would that cause problems with rubbing?
#237
That tire size is way to small for a GE fit... it would look very bad .... and you would have tons of wheel gap...

Enkei SC05's come with a +50 offset

I started up a thread recently dedicated to this cause, although I set +45 as the target offset.

although if lowered say with at least df springs you could easily do a 195-40-17 or a 205-40-17 tire and it would look fine but not being lowered, it would look like hell.

Ok what about a 16x7 with a +45 offset with a 185/55/16? Would i experience any problems with rubbing if I went slightly wider or lowered?
