I see what your saying to an extent. I'm seeking coilovers only, with a pretty broad budget. Thanks for not bein a douchebag about it.

Do you honestly think $1400 is a broad budget for coilovers? With that amount of money you're still in the entry level setup price range.

Save up.
Buy HKS.
Thank me.

Or.

Buy something else.
Hate it.
Hate your car.
Hate yourself for not taking my advice.

Thanks for your input/opinion. Not interested in an overpriced product. My goal is not to spend more money modding my car than what i paid for it.

I am sure that HKS is not the only quality coilover in the world.

yeah, $1200 isn't shit compared to the Tein Super Racing ($3000) H&R PCS ($3000) and HKS Hipermax ($2500).

HKS S-Compact are only $1700 at RHD-Japan, and IIRC most places are usually cheaper than them.

I mean shoot, I sold my USED J's N1 for $1500.

which is why since i DD my car that i'll only buy suspension that i need...and since i don't like the whole "hellaflush"/negative camber or slammed look, i can save money by just getting the lowest spring i can find.

A few of the coilovers sets ive looked at give you an option to order with/without upper mounts.

Are they necessary? What are the pros?

I assume it is an upgrade like an adjustable pillowball.

I have yet to see one coilover setup made for the Fit with camber adjustable from the tower mount. Some have built-in camber adjustment from an elongated hole. Even the aftermarket replacement upper mounts that I have seen are just a more solid top hat, but actually raise the car up ever so slightly where then the lower perch needs to be threaded up onto the casing further to reach the same height. Also they don't work with every coilover.
