Spring choices and future upgrades...
New to the forum and wanted to ask a couple questions before ordering stuff that won't do what I want... Just bought a 2011 Fit and decided I wanted to make a few changes. Spent the last few days lurking around here reading as much as I could find so now I'm going to ask the rest.
Looking to get a custom look without the need for any sort of "track" performance. (I'm not worried about a rough ride, but I don't want a car that can't get over a parking lot speed bump or rubs because of clearance issues.) I would like to lower the vehicle and within the year at a set of rims/tires. Here come the questions:
1. If I just do the lowering springs now (considering Eibach Pro-Kit Springs OR Tein S Tech). Any major preferences (and reasons) and what else do I need to install these? (I keep reading something about camber/spacers but don't understand what I will need to buy/have adjusted)
2. Roughly what will I pay to have these installed? What do I need done after the install (alignment/etc???)?
3. Looking at Enkei T-Forks 17x7 (+45mm offset) w/Yokohama S.drive 195/40R17. I don't want to modify the car's body. Will these function correctly with either of those lowering setups? (I'm more worried about the Tein S Tech but like their look)
4. If I plan to change to the factory Wheels/Tires in the winter and swap to the Enkei/Yoko in the summer will I need an alignment each time I swap?
Sorry for the long post. I appreciate any feedback or advice you can provide.

I asked this on HondaTech and I was directed to the link below in regards to camber bolts/plates. My other question was how long will the OEM struts last with lowering springs.
No, you DO NOT need camber kits!!!!!!!! - Honda-Tech

Check out this thread, it may answer some questions... Swift Mach Sport springs work very well on the 2nd generation Fit. They have very decent travel and the spring rate on rebound increases very little so they don't screw up the function of the shocks and struts... https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...1#links:wavey:
