tein s tech springs
#22
I'm curious if any of you guys after lowering on the Tien springs have had issues with camber are toe being set in on the rear and did you have to add any other suspension parts. I just ordered my springs and they'll be here tuesaday. My set up so far is 16x6.5 +38 offset Rays Gram Lights 57C optimise. with 205/45/16 tires. Thanks for the input

Yeah, you might be right. Guess i spent too much time with the EF chassis and that's all i really thought was necessary for that cars wheel well.

bumpstops :(
hi guys..
i got my tein s tech springs..
and same old question i got, do i need to cut the bumpstops ?
i will be using my stock shocks,
with 4-5 people occasionally,
considering the fact indian roads are terrible.
and in future can i run my stock springs with sliced bump stops or i would be needing new ones ?

Read through this thread, it's a little long-winded but there's a lot of good tips in there.

Should be getting my springs tomorrow, so I'm amped about it. Thanks to everyone for the input, a lot of questions were answered. One thing though, what's the talk about the bump stops? Above it said that there's no need to cut them with s techs, but can someone shed a little more light on it?

Tein says you don't need to cut the bumpstops lol
If you're using stock shocks cutting the bumpstop will allow the shock to travel further than it is designed to do which can cause damage or premature wear (you'll get more wear anyway because of the increased spring rate and drop, but why make it even worse?).
I've never hit the bumpstops daily driving anyway. I'm sure I might hit them doing some serious autoX with sticky tires, but if you're doing that you should be using something better than STechs anyway.

Hi guys.. Installed mine s techs a week ago.. satisfied with ride quality and the performance of them.
I m running 195 55 r15 rubber.
The front left side has a three finger gap, front right has a two and a half finger gap and rear has a tight two finger gap. The car looks raked to me. ( it is a right hand drive)
Do I need to wait for them to settle anymore or do I have to live with them?

weird noise
its been a month on my s techs..
i am hearing a noise in my front right suspension when going over a bump with 3-4 people in the car..
noise only occurs when the suspension is fully compressed i guess,
any ideas what is causing this ?
car has just done 1000 kms on springs and 23000 kms in total.
