Ultra Racing vs. Progress rear sway bar: which one is better?

Ultra Racing vs. Progress rear sway bar: which one is better? I'm going to bolt it to a fit sport.

Are they the same thickness?

Ultra Racing vs. Progress rear sway bar are mounted differently. Which one is mounted more solidly?

I read a post on this forum that some lowering springs will not work with the Progress rear sway bar.

The Cusco front and rear sway bars are too expensive at $600.

Sway me!

Hi,

I believe that they are both 19 mm.

From the few pictures I've seen, the Progress bar bolts to the inside of the trailing arms and the Ultra bolts to the outside of the trailing arms.

If everything else about them is identical (which it probably isn't and this single factor is thus meaningless), that would make the Progress bar slightly stiffer.

Other factors would include the type of steel used and length of the arms in the sway bars.

A side by side picture might help. A torsion test would be even better.

John

If im in CA, the brand does not matter. It's not an exhaust/engine mod.

I read on this board that some lowering springs will not work with Progress.

I think Ultra Racing offers 16mm also.
