Performance Springs for GE08 (Eibach Vs. Tanabe DF210) -- there is no GF210 for GE08

Hi Guys,

I'm looking into buying some springs that will slightly lower my Fit and give increase handling performance, so the GF210 would be my first option but those are not available for the GE08 yet

So I'm trying to decide between the Eibach Pro-Kit (Performance Lowering Springs) and the Tanabe DF210 Springs. Anyone using either of those can give suggestion on what to use?

My focus is on performance and stiffer spring with a little bit of lowering 1 to 1.5" nothing too extreme that would be hitting the tyres on the car all the time when there is bad asphalt.

Here's the specs for Tanabe DF210 springs w/ Stiffness info:
- 1.7 Front / 2.0 Rear (kg/mm)
- 10-15% stiffer than stock according to their site
- Lowers 1.3" Front / 1.8" Rear

For Eibach I couldn't find stiffness information, only lowering info
- 1.2" Front / 1.4" rear

I am going to use Kiowa k675 17x7 Wheels along with 205/45 tyres.

This is my Fit, model LXL in Brazil (1.4 liter-- same engine but shorter stroke crankshaft than the one sold in U.S.):

I just installed H4-2 6k HIDs:

The Eibach springs on really make that car feel and handle a lot better than stock. I would highly suggest their Pro-Kit.

swift springs are what you are looking for then.

much better than either of the tanabes imo and they lower less than the eibach's.

are there swift springs for GE08?

I'm interested mostly in Performance Handling/Stiffness. Do you know if they are stiffer than the Eibach or Tanabe ones?

From what I have read on here (no first hand experience) a lot of people are running the tanabe's, but it seems like a lot of them say to go with the Pro-kit.
And for what you described (handling more important than drop) I think the pro-kit is what you want.

if performance is key, i reccommend the sportlines over the pro kit for eibach

I thought the pro-kit was for performance and the sportlines were more for just getting the lowest drop.

really? I'm just going by what i felt when I had both on the car. I never bothered to look up the exact specs on each.

looked at the spring rate chart and the swift springs indeed have the best stiffness ratio, at least for the older gen Fit. For the New Fit (GE08) they dont have on the chart yet, but Im assuming should be similar construction. I'm going to try to find them to buy online for the GE08.

Will be either that or the Eibach's. I'm not gonna get the Tanabe's because I would want the GF210 not the DF210 and they havent released that yet.
