GE8 Lowered Thread - Post your pics!!!

It seems DF210's are the more popular choice..cheaper too (;
I think I'm going to change my mind once again and go with the DF's..
From what I've been reading, they give a pretty aggressive drop and still keep the comfortability in driving. I was going to go with the Pro-Kit but it seems it doesn't give the drop that I'm looking for..
Time to purchase it online and get it installed at a local shop..before I change my mind again.. -_-
EDIT: Changed my mind; going with the Tein's rofl

Here's my ride with Tanabe DF210s and the latest mod: Gram Light 57 Optimise 17" x 7.5" +43 offset and Bridgestone G019 205/45 x 17 tires. Absolutely no tire rubbing issues!
What's your honest opinion of the Tanabe springs, eg: bounce, sway too soft\hard.

Am happy with the amount of lowering, comfortable ride as well as handling. I do not intend to autocross or go canyon carving, however I did notice that the car swayed a bit more compared to our other cars that were lowered with Eibach Pro-Kits.
Mind you, nothing that cannot be rectified with an auxiliary rear sway bar. Altogether, I am very happy for choosing Tanabe DF210s for lowering the GE8 Fit.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking your ride. It's just that many guys in Thailand including myself are saying all Tanabe springs feel everythng on the road under normal driving conditions with stock struts.
I must admit driving a fit with H&R fitted is a different drive all together. They feel firm and seem to absorb little bumps on the road.
I am even thinking of swapping my Tanabe NF 210's for H&R.

Perhaps the road conditions here in Canada are much better than those in Thailand because I have no issues with the ride comfort on the DF210s with OEM shocks.
I know for a fact that H&Rs ride firmer and doesn't fit my purpose. Thanks for sharing the info.

I heard the DF210's are a pretty comfortable ride along with a pretty nice drop. That's why I went them. I've been to Thailand before and the roads over there look pretty rough, maybe that's why you feel the road more over there than in Canada or the U.S
Nice ride, Benggolf =)

I believe the T1R's are the cheapest option. Mine arrived today at just $181.56 U.S. Springs and shipping to my door.

Looking really good! Very nice choice on rims and tire size. Do you have to use wheel spacers on the rear?

Thanks for the compliment, Spiritborn. No spacers used.

Hey guys, not too sure where to post this so I thought I just put the information here. I've been shopping online for the Eibach Prokit and found it cheapest at www.streetsideauto.com.
The website had it up for $200.80 (free shipping). The company is based in Kansas so I was lucky enough not to get the tax since I live in California. I then added a coupon code for 5% off (code - RTMNT) and brought my grand total to $190.76. I've never purchased from that company before, but it appears legit from reviews on pricegrabber.com. Just though I'd share the info...

lowered on T1R's
Lowered on T1R's, 215/35/18's on the Front, 225/35/18's on the Rear.
these wheels are +45 offset but due to the wide lip.. the front needed 5mm spacers to fit.
hope this info helps.....
will do more adjusting later..
also still lots of room in the back.....(spacers!!)

hi. so...i'm trying to get my suspension setup worked out. it looks like i'm probably going w. the DF210s for springs.
from my experience w/ suspension setups on my previous vehicles, i've always been taught to also buy sport shocks/struts to complement the lower height so as not to blow out the stock shocks prematurely. it seems that many of you are using the stock shocks w/ lowering springs. my question is, how long have you been setup that way?
and for those that DO have aftermarket sport shocks w/ their lowering springs, what shocks are you using? links and pictures would be a tremendous help.

Lek, the car is my daily driver and consequently wanted to lower the car yet retain a comfortable ride with an improvement in the handling department.

What a nice combo of lowering and wheels. Very appealing.
Now the dumb question. I find the price of the springs is reasonable ie $200 range but what about installation? Are most a DIY or are you having to pay? If paying what is the cost approximately?

I'm a little bit confused about spring and coilover installation in the US. Do you have to pay extra for fitting and wheel alignment?
In Thailand, we buy the springs or coilovers and the same shop fits and does wheel alignment for free. That's standard at every shop except the Honda stealership.
