GE8 Lowered Thread - Post your pics!!!
#1205
So I talked with my local shop today and told them I was interested in getting T1R spings. They talked with their distributor who said that they were dropping the line because people were having problems with springs breaking. With 61 pages on this thread I didn't know where to start. Has anyone had this issue with them?
Also, I noticed on the first post that H&R does not have a before and after. Does anyone have those pictures available?
I am looking for the stiffest lowering springs I can get that is why I wanted T1R's but if they break, I am not interested.

I have never seen anyone have issues with springs breaking on here. Dont go H&R, their springrates are only around 1.5k. Tein/T1r/Swift are around 2.5k. I had Teins and liked them. Many members say that swift springs give the best ride though, which I believe.

I went with the H&R's. Although they aren't the stiffest springs, they're not as bad as people are making them out to be.
For the record, I had Swift springs on my Prelude, and they were great as well.
One thing people need to realize, is that you aren't really going to gain any huge improvements installing springs and using your stock shocks. If you're really looking to improve the suspension, pairing the springs with a good aftermarket shock is a must.
For me, it was all about looks, and getting the perfect drop. Since I daily my Fit, having a somewhat softer suspension isn't such a bad thing. Anyone that has ever daily driven a car with a stupid stiff setup knows how much it can suck after a while. Trust me, I know! Guess I'm just gettin old lol
