... did you notice any loss of acceleration, power in general or any form of sluggishness in any way after moving up to 17" rims?

I'm thinking of going with 17" rims also. (I think 17" wheels match the curve of the wheel well/fenders better than the stock 16" rims... looks a lot better to me) But I don't want to experience any additional power loss, or even a perception of a loss.

I don't think the Fit is exactly slow... especially compared to other 4 cylinders I've driven. But it isn't "fast", and I don't want to lose any power or acceleration at all.

Hmm. Let's see.. I would say, technically, yes; there most likely was some power loss but there's a lot of things that play a part in this whole thing. For me, YEA, I'm sure it takes more power to move these wheels and tires. Compared to the stock wheels, these are much heavier. (No budget for the "good looking" lightweight wheels). I guess what I'm trying to say is, if it fits your budget [and taste], I would suggest finding the lightest 17" possible, and researching which size tires would best fit the bill.

So in general, you want to find a wheel and tire combo in 17" that almost matches the stock in regards to diameter and weight, if not better.

Personally for me, I don't notice the difference. I don't race or drive fast with her at all-- just cruise and such, and hypermiling and what not. And I'm also dropped on tanabe's, which I THINK helps with aerodynamics even in a small way because the 17" wheels raised the car up about a 1/2".

I hope that wasn't confusing.. there's a lot of threads on this site that go into detail about this.. I'm pretty sure with a little time, you'll find the right wheels for yah, good luck with that, hope I helped a bit.

Just finished usin' Mothers clay bar and all that good stuff on both my car and my dad's.. that was exhausting! On the bright side, my car is now as smooth as a baby's bottom wahaha

Question What's up?

So I recently installed some Civic Si camber bolts in the front-- four in total. Just got back from alignment and on one side, it was only possible to be about -0.9 degrees camber, but the guy said the other side wouldn't go any more than -0.6 degrees. I'm not that much experienced with it all so I was wondering could this be possible that the specs can be different even though theyre the same bolts? And also, does -0.9 degrees sound right for the Civic camber bolts?

If someone could shed some light, I'd appreciate it.

(edit) now I'm starting to think that they didn't do anything with the bottom bolt.. As in the top was only adjusted. I hate the fact that they told me I had to leave whenever they adjusted something.

Sounds very shady on their part! I used these (they come up when you input 09 honda fit)
81260 - 14mm Fastcam Bolts, Pair - Ingalls Engineering Co., Inc.

each gives 2 degree of camber, and so I needed 4 of them to get the -2.25 I needed to not rub at all. -.9 sounds like they didn't try at all, or those bolts are totally wrong for our application

I know right? Thanks for the link though! I might do that waay later on now that i just spent on an alignment.. It makes me regret ever getting an alignment knowing you can't trust them all to know what's up. I could have spent the money on something else instead of leaving unsatisfied..

I know the civic bolts work because I think I read from a thread here that it could give -1.75 (with both bolts) if i'm not mistaken unless that was an aftermarket one..

So my dad and a godfather works at a factory that makes vinyls and they just developed their own cabon fiber vinyl-- pretty good if I do say so myself! The adhesive part is etched and is supposed to avoid bubbling easier during application. My dad was too late before everyone took the scraps leftover from an order, but the godfathuh hooked it up!
