[quote=iFIT.;1029742]Looks great man, I ordered one from them also but I've had recent damage to my front bumper from a deer which caused me to ordered a mugen front spoiler.[/quote
I have the jdp lip and recently just ran over a huge deer. i know dumb, but it was 4 in the morning on my way to work and raining, but still dumb. it sits about 1.5" off the ground on my front bumper. when i hit the deer i basically got air born. I got a small crack in the bottom of the lip right at the point of impact. But was super surprised. i thought it would be trashed, great product and looks awesome. i know not the same as above but it just made me want to tell my story

my cousin is the guy who applies the 3M clear shield on hoods, fenders, and mirrors of new cars at the dealership so i guess if my lip wasn't already scratched up i would have him apply that as a preventative measure. again that fact doesn't really bother me as i never plan on taking off my lip so...
anyways here's a picture of my car to show you what i did with the door edge trim.
red shows where i put it. green arrow shows the area that the lip keeps digging into. the door edge film prevents the lip from digging and scraping the paint off in the area.

5 months later...
Yes, the lip digs into the front bumper. It's exactly where the green arrow points to on Cocowheat's "drawing" - the paint chipped off on both sides. I noticed it when I was washing my car about a month ago.
Oh well, I guess if I ever sell this car and take the lip off I'll have to add touch-up paint to those 2 parts!

you mean for the area where i pointed with a green arrow? DUH, of course there's a way to prevent it. i just showed you. use door edge trim for a clean look. kind of makes the edges look rolled too =D

Yup. So if you want to change your car horns, you should do it when you install the lip because your bumper will already be off!

lol just out of curiosity why'd you take yours off? i installed mine on and off quite a few times already. never once taking the bumper off. what purposed did it serve?

Honestly, I don't even remember what purpose it served (if any). I was instructed to remove the bumper, but my memory is cloudy as to WHY. Oh well, it's on and it's beautiful

lol no. if you don't take your bumper off, you just slide the lip on. if you take your bumper out, you still slide it on the exact same way. with the exact same fitment.

I don't think so.
If you go on JDP Engineering :: Home -- "Design & Innovation with Precision" -> products -> jdp carbon, you'll see that there is a "JDP Honda Fit Sport Carbon Front Spoiler" and a "JDP Honda Fit Base Carbon Front Spoiler". From what I can see, the Sport model has these "grooves" or "bumps" on the front spoiler.
I think there was a group buy for the base model spoiler, and apparently JDP decided to listen and created the Base model front spoiler.
PS. Sorry for the late response.
