The T1R B-Pipe came home today. I'm suprised UPS was working today on Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Here's some pictures unboxing it for you guys that might be curious on how it comes.
I'll try to take more pictures of it when it's on the lift while it's being installed tomorrow

by the way to answer your question yes I Use to rub with 205/50/16 tires running really low with -2 camber but once the little plastic edges on the fender liner dissolved after a few track sessions it just stopped rubbing hence why it stopt lol. Ill show you pictures of how much plastic is missing.

I'm on TEIN S-tech springs, they are 1.6 drop all around and the wheels are all +42 offset.
I'm planning to get TEIN Super Compact coilovers sometime soon.

I didn't get a chance to install my B-pipe today, but I got my Buddy Club Racing Condenser.
Here's some picture of my install I did, which I think I did a really clean job.
Tell me what you guys think. Thank you!
I went to a local hardware store and bought a plate to make my own bracket.
I used heatstrink and cover the bracket.
Then I double taped the bracket onto the condenser.
I used the holes that I took the bracket to support the stock intake off. Look where I circled
And here is the complete work, I think it's pretty clean how I did the wire management.
Gonna need to go my friend to cut the last wire was too long so I just wrapped it for now.
Thanks for looking,
Don

did you bolt the condenser to the car ? or is it just taped on with the 3M if so I recommend you take it off lol my friend did the same thing and it fell off. All so Is there enough play on the wires ? it looks like a pretty stiff setup if it is try to add some slack to compensate the engine flexing.
All so is that the new version ?
looks great by the way

Reason I ask... the stock antenna on my GE gets much better reception than the shark fin on my SUV... and the SUV system is a "special" (model only), complete (stereo/XM module/9-speaker/center console sub/antenna) Bose system.
I like the shark fin you installed, and think they look better than the stock antenna... but I'd like reception to at least remain the same as stock.
Your ride is coming along great, BTW... keep the pics coming, bro!

On the wheels/tires... have you noticed any difference in driving when going from 16'" to 17" wheels? More specifically and important, some seem to "feel" the GE may tend to be a little more sluggish -- both in speeding up and accelerating from stop -- than it did when the stock 16" wheels were on.
Do you notice this, or no? Be honest -- but please say no... no noticeable difference!
The 17" wheels look really nice (better than stock, in my opinion), and I would like to go 17" if there is no noticeable difference. Don't want my GE feeling "sluggish" though.
You seem like an honest, fairly straight-forward guy... no BS involved.

Hey Don, did you notice any difference in reception, good or bad, when replacing stock antenna with the shark fin? Shark fin looks nice!

The shark fin antenna doesn't make a reception difference in the city.
I live 30mins away from my major city and yes it does make a differrence once you go further away.
If you live in the city I wouldn't worry about it.
I usually just listen to my iPod anyways, so it diesn't bother me at all.
To be honest my shark fin antenna got blown off at the car wash from their dryer 2 days ago, so right now I'm using the stock antenna again.
That same night I came home and ordered this. It's on it's way.
I did looked at the J's and Spoon's antenna, I just didn't like the way it looks and people can jack it so easily, so i rather lose $25buck for this than $60 for the spoon or J's.
But the main reason is because this one is the shortest/smallest I'll let you know the quality is once I get it.

Even if you find wheels in the right size that are lighter as well as larger, the bigger tire will still be heavier.
You are also decreasing the leverage advantage your brakes have when you increase the wheel size.
So no matter what there will be a tangible difference in some aspect of driving.

There is going to be a distinct leverage and unsprung weight disadvantage to bigger wheels. That is not something you can avoid.
