Guys - The reason you are rubbing is because of your tires... not the width or offset...
Can you tell me what what you started out with, and what size lips you added?

Were they 4x100 or 4x114 redrilled?
What were the specs of the stock wheel?
What size lips were added front and rear?

Just want to double check the math.

thx

Nice stance and nice wheels for sure

Really surprised about the tranny though, confirms that I'll be doing my first trans service at 30k instead of 60k like the owners manuel says. Its weird that after the initial 60k service you're supposed to go every 30k after that

damn son! you drilled 5x112s! Some VW guy probably would have paid $$ for those.

anyways - when you add extra girth to the outers (Lip), you're lowering offset by the added width, and adding that much width to the wheel.

Also, the actual offset should be stamped into the face of the wheels.

With what you've posted it, I'll breakdown the math for you.

Starting 6.5 +35 (appox offset until you get the number on the back of the face), this wheel will have a 1" outer lip. We're adding a 2"/2.5" lip to replace the 1". 1" = 25.4mm. So taking what we know.

Front
6.5" + 1" = 7.5" width (it's a 2 inch lip, but only a 1" difference)
35mm - 25mm = +10mm offset (remember we are lowering the offset)

Rear
6.5" + 1.5" = 8" width
35mm - 38mm (25.4mm x 1.5") = -3 offset.

Final specs

Front 16x7.5 +10mm
Rear 16x8 -3

I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to wheels specs, fitment, drop, allignment etc. I think that wheel specs should be as accurate as possible when posted, so that people who read the specs know what they are getting themselves into. I personally would hate to be on the other end, reading a post with information that I thought was correct. If someone ordered some one off, custom built wheels from Japan, then they came in fitting differently than expected, they would be pretty upset. I hope that I can clear some of this up. Also, I think that wheel specs aren't sacred, and anyone who understands fitment and math can figure out someone's specs fairly easily.

HTH you and everyone else on the board.

Ill try and get the offsets later today -

Since they redrilled there is not anything on the back of the wheel any longer - All I know is that they WERE 6.5...

Ill ask the original owner of the stock wheel size maybe he remembers...

Honda Auto trannys DO NOT have filters like so many other makes - My technician suggests changing the tranny fluid every 15k miles...

At 23k miles my trannys oil looked like sludge

I see Mugen kit under your future plans. I think the Mugen kit will definitely transform the exterior of your Fit. The Mugen kits are actually reasonably-priced and come painted from factory. I wish they sold Mugen kits for TSX in the US painted as well. Nice ride btw !
