My homemade privacy trunk shelf.
Decided to make a shelf instead of buying one. Total cost was about 20 dollars using 1/2" mdf, carpet from walmart, and 3m spray glue i had from a previous subwoofer build.
The shelf sits pretty flush against the hatch, and i added some extra carpet on the end to cover the little gap between the seats and the shelf.
here are some photos.
What do you guys think?
Also, unrelated to this topic, has anyone noticed that the TW sport sideskirts are a slight different shade of white then the rest of the car?

nice! i had fun making one for my GD.
I even got the carpet from walmart
I made it to cover all of the gaps by first making an over size rough cardboard template. Then I kept trimming it down until it was perfect.

looks good,
i always wanted to make one too, but i would have used cardboard, but then never found cardboard strong enough, and didnt want to use wood cause in case someone rear ends me, and if i had passengers in the back, the wood might injure someone pretty bad, so i just buckled and paid the extra money for an OEM cargo cover

I am in the process of making my own as well. Just couldn't justify the $180 ish for the plastic one. Same idea, used cardboard and trimmed it to shape, painted it black, and am just now trying to get some fabric on it. I do like the logo idea, might have add that to mine as well.

Nice work, you might wanna think about making/selling them because it makes no sense to me that Honda will sell you one for the car for $120 but its standard in the much cheaper Ford Fiesta
Also, good use of the badge for sure!
