ok so. first i "tinted" my fogs yellow because..
1) I like yellow fogs for asthetic reasons
2) It keeps water/dirt out of my broken foglight. lol

I think I need to go load this thread on my computer because this pokey iPhone 1st Gen can't display it all. Haha!

I saw most of the new pics. Keep an eye on that yellow film to be sure it doesn't burn, melt or turn brown. I like yellow fogs, too. I wonder I'd you can just get yellow bulbs? The crack in your lens makes me nervouse about mine. Perhaps Honda could have put a clear cover over the fogs to protect them and give them more aerodynamics like the headlights.

By the way, it's good to see that someone else around here uses their garage to park their car instead of their tons of crap.

yea i like to use my garage. my walls tell stories of engine swaps and all kinds of things. ive used this film befor and never had problems with it. you can find this particular tape at Fred Myers in the auto dept. i will be upgrading to HID headlights (6k-8k white) and HID fogs (4k yellow) but thats later. im still paying off afew debts i aquired getting the new car. but once thats taken care of more awesomererrrr mods will come in.
can you say Mugen? T1R? JDP? BuddyClub?

Honda wont repair or replace my foglight because i got my Fit for such a low price.

but yea, i picked up that Diode from radio shack, along with some wires. going to do the independent foglight mod soon!

thanks for viewing my thread! leave some comments!

I'm going to err on the side of caution and bet that the Honda warranty doesn't cover fog light breakage. That's rather crummy that they won't fix it because of the price you paid.

I looked at Continental's web site today. It looks like they don't have any more used Fits and only one white manual. I'm sure glad I was able to get mine, even though it was a long-ish wait.

Engine swaps in the garage, eh? That's more than I'd consider tackling. Although, I've thought about doing future valve adjustments on my own. I hate paying someone to do something I can do.

i have that stupid hole on the front of my bumper too. it's mandatory for us to have a front license plate here in bc so they drill a hole for the plate holder. i've been looking for a good plug for a while. right now i'm just using the screw that held the plate holder and coloured it as black as possible

as for the fog light mod. im off to do it now. ill get pictures up. make sure to check back. thanks everyone!

here we go, Independent foglights! well, they only turn on when the parklights are on so when i turn off the car i still get a beep to remind me to turn off all my lights.

Thanks to Brayton for explaining and helping me understand how to do this. looking back now this mod is super simpleerrrrerererr than i thought it was.

heres a bad picture of todays progress.

Good job! I knew you'd see that it was easier than the instructions made it seem after doing it.

Thumbs up

Looks like you managed to catch that five minutes of sun we had yesterday.

Have an idea for an angle for you... Park on the ramp going to the roof of the garage so your car is near the bottom of the ramp, then walk the rest of the way up and stand over your car. You'll be able to aim the camera down at the car for some odd angles. That would give some good contrast, too, with the black against concrete. I don't know what would look better, though...daytime or night? Since there is no night right now, I guess it's daytime.

You should get a shot of your car next to that funny Monster Wash sign on Dimond.

Congratulations on the new job!
