Another Ge8 Grill idea.

This is another one of my grille projects. The finished version will have mesh in the cut outs. I don't know if I should paint it to match the hood or do a flat finish. What do you think?

Make the grille darker, but flat, and paint the mesh you're inserting a thick, shiny black like the hood. The best of both worlds that will accentuate each other! You can always paint the grille like the hood if you don't like the flat. Will be a bit more difficult if you paint the grille shiny first.

That's my vote.

Hmmm not really my cup of tea. On our cars, horizontal elements look better on the grilles. Just my two cents though.

Are you thinking of the Noblesse grille? I do like this one...

It clashes a little with the styling of the car but the fitment looks pretty good.. Fiberglass?

Yeah, I just glassed over a stock grille. I think the finished product will blend better. If not, I started another idea last night. I can't wait to see how this one comes out. I'll post pics. I'll have four or five choices to show off when I get done.

Not just Noblesse - most of the grilles I've seen for Fits (regardless of chassis - GDs or GEs) have horizontal elements. Only real exception I can remember is a Modulo item for the GD with a big fat column where the [H] logo sits.

Anyway do keep at it - would like to see how it looks after you finalize the paint.

I'm still waiting for paint to cure on one project. This is a better pic of my first grille.

It's really cool you can do that stuff, but I'm not feeling that particular idea

IMO the sport grill dealer option is the best looking one out. Clean and Simple. Try something similar?

of course I'm not into debadging so the 'H' centric design doesn't bother me. For some reaon a debadged car gives me the gut reaction of 'ricer' just as much as 10 vtec stickers.

I like the JDP grill the best. The OEM sport grill is ok. The mugen grill is fugly. I have high hopes for the J's racing grill whenever it comes out.

For some reason I want to see a red led bar flashing left to right in the middle of this grill...
