My Little Intro...09' Fit Sport Mugen

Definitely not new to Hondas, but new to the Fit chassis. Few members here suggested the site and figured I'd join up. I owned two 94, 95 Civics before, both with significant work. Bought an 04 SER Spec V as a DD whilst going to school in PA - and traded it in for an 09' Fit Sport.

It's outfitted with pretty much all the Mugen bits short of the godawful wheels and overpriced oil fill cap. Got the car at about the same price of the regular Fit Sport due to an inventory screwup. Car was a showroom demo for quite a bit and ended up being the only MT 09' they had that wasnt flaming orange or the odd Pelican Grey color.

I used to post under the name EJProject on Hondaswap, and I'm a member of Hondas of New England.

Plans for right now are nothing crazy, saving some pennies for a good set of wheels in the spring along with a drop and an exhaust. Just ordered a set of Mugen visors, rubber OEM floor mats and a full LED interior light conversion.

Here are some pics. Sorry about the quality, but photobucket kills the quality of resized pics.

Looks nice, especially if you got it for the same price as a regular sport.

Welcome to FF! Nice Fit. Did you/the dealer reposition the Mugen rear badge so that it's at the same level as the Fit badge? Just wondering since the Honda site shows that it's lower.

I did it the first day I got the car. Removed the obligatory dealer badge that was thrown on the rear, removed the dumb front plate bracket, and moved the mugen badge so it lines up with the Fit badge, and as close to the badges on the side.

Nice. IMO, it looks much better the way you set it up.

The new GEs are so pretty that it makes it a lot easier for me to not feel bad about spending money on performance parts and just let the cosmetic stuff go to hell on my GD... I finally waxed it after 39 months, and cut two holes in the hood to install louvers to increase cooling shortly after.... I could never have done that to a car as pretty as the GE even if it meant that the engine would melt down from overheating.

Nice Mugened Fit - it was funny when I got my 2007 Fit Sport the only way to get Mugen parts was to buy them yourself. It was a great move on Honda's part to partner with Mugen and allow you to order it this way. I went to the web site and Mugened out a 2009 and it was like $23,000.00. The Mugen stuff I added on has cost me but every piece has been worth it and made my car unique. Hey you need the Mugen visors to complete the look! and where is the Mugen e-brake cover?????

Thanks for the comments guys. Mugen visors are on order from King Motorsports. Right now I'm pretty sure Mugen doesn't make a specific part for the ebrake handle - only a universal one.

As for right now, I'm just going to save my money for the end of the long NE winter. As I said, I'll be ordering a full set of LEDs for the interior for the dome/map/cargo lights.

Any suggestions of where you guys get your LEDs? I've heard of superbrightleds.com - but I'm even temped to go the ebay route.

I like it a lot! The mugen kit doesn't really stand out unless your fit is red or white. Just my opinion...but i still like it! I myself have the mugen kit too

I actually like the black. It hides some of the akward body lines and the huge windows. I was originally shopping for a Taffeta White Fit Sport MT, but this is what I found, hehe.

Just a little update. Got my Honda OE all-weather floormats in the mail today. Hopefully throw them in on Sunday. Mugen visors still arent here, but the weather blows - so I'm in no rush. The 15's with 205 blizzaks look funny on the car, but it rocks in the snow.

Two week anniversary of getting the car, and the mileage just seems to be increasing by every tank. Granted, I drive almost 80% highway, but the last tank I just ran through averaged 40.1mpg! This car still amazes me.

Mounting the 15" snows really helped the gearing of the car, and I still enjoy driving it every day.

Ordered a set of 15x7 Konig retracks in white/polished. Probably after the holidays I'm going to figure out what I want to do for springs in anticipation of the spring. I've always had great experiences w/Eibach prokits, but Progress may be a choice as well.

I have a "Flaming Orange" 09. Seeing yours makes me second guess my color choice.
The rolling shot of your Fit looks really cool. The Mugen kit in black gives the car a sinister look.
Very nice. More pics please!

nice ride, since you saved a bunch on it, might as well get some volks and new rubber. 11lbs per wheel owns.
