hey Fit4spl,

I have been going reading your audio build and mad props to you. Honda interiors are notorious for rattling. My 2000 Accord rattles like a bitch with 2 12s in a bandpass box.

Now that I got a Fit I want to do my system right. I'm planning on going with 1 12 inch in a ported box pushing maybe 500-1000 RMS. I don't ever intend to go on a dBdrag, but I really hated how my accord rattled inside and the trunk sounded like it was farting outside. I was hoping you can give me some recommendation as far as sound deadening.

Affordable and good. I don't feel like spending all my money on dynamat. I want to do the whole floor, the doors panels, and cargo hatch. Is there anything reliable I can do about the rearview mirror too before it shakes itself too loose?

Thanks!

Secondskin, great product easy to use and won't break the bank either. As for the mirror, it's a lost hope I just accept it's going to move up and down a lot and deal with it.

So I have been busy, changed product a little (subs and sub amp), also spec'd out a new box and got it 90% done will finish it up on Friday. New subs are Skar Audio ZVX 12's dual 1ohm, and new amp is a Skar Audio SK2500.1.

WOW, that this still has serious flex after all your work to dampen it... I'm sure your proud

Man, makes me a little sad I am planning to sell off my custom spare tire well box BUT it removes 70+ pounds of weight and the $$$ buy's more racing parts so I cant complain

Yeah to each their own, I'm into audio not speed so the extra weight doesn't bother me.

I tried to keep the best of both worlds... but as I'm getting more competitive racing, and spending less time crusing in the car, I decided I could let the sound gear go.... for now... The GF's GE might inherit the fun sound stuff

Thank you, I have been doing it as a hobby for many years and I have worked in almost every aspect of the car audio industry, and I just like to pass on info and what not that I can.

Man...I'm so in awe of your skills. Wish I lived closer--I'd have you take one of your "old" boxes and throw it in my wrx. LOL.

Way to go man! AWESOME work!!!
