Windshield Trim piece is missing

Solution?!
Hey, i realize this is ollld, but I'm sure some will still encounter the issue of losing that trim piece "hood hinge cover". For those people I'd like to offer my observation and solution (its important to me becayse i'm on my second replacement replacement).
Inspect all the clips to make sure everything is intact, and check to see if you have that little white clip insert on the underside of the cover (it'll be the only white piece). It appears to me that this clip's prongs don't seat properly, at least in my '12. End result being that the outboard side of the panel is lifted up, reducing the hold of the other clippies. Just pop that little white clip out of its slot and snap the cover back over the hood hinge. There will be a little extra movement ability along the upper portion of the cover as a result, but this can be easily resolved with a dab of standard black silicone where that clip used to be. I personally did not use silicone.
Long-winded, damn. Hope this helps some poor soul avoid doing any janky sh*t to their car.

I went in for the recall of lost motion springs. When I got my car back it made a lot of noise when I accelerate, brought it back to honda since they were the last people to open up my engine. They did nothing... they didn't hear the noise... useless.
I went to my family mechanic to give me peace of mind. And he found one of my spark plugs were lose and all black. He told me theirs no way a spark plug would get lose on its own. Find it really fishy I brought in my perfect working car to Honda for a recall and got back my car with problems.
Not impressed with Honda servicing at all.

Loose spark plugs from the factory have been a problem on Fits, at least on the second Gen model years and perhaps others too. Check the thread below and other threads on the same topic.

You owe your family mechanic a nice box of fresh doughnuts. Bad things happen when these plugs burst loose.

I replaced mine with a brand new part and five months later it's missing again! :-( I'm sure that I placed it properly and snugly; Honda's engineering is clearly lacking here given my experience and that of others.
If I replace it, I'm tempted to add a squirt of caulk/adhesive to provide extra holding power, yet allow it to be removed for windshield replacement if needed. Does anyone know of a caulk or adhesive that would do the job?

I ordered another 74222-TK6-A00 [COVER, PASSENGER HOOD HINGE] and decided to use a few short lengths of 1/4" Wide 3M Automotive Trim Tape in select spots to help it stay put. The tape cannot be seen from the exterior and the new Cover seems to be well locked in place. Time will tell .....
