Looking for center console aesthetic parts
I have a 2010 Honda fit sport and bought a second hand center console from someone on eBay overseas. This is before hearing about college hills.
There was a massive a delay with my post office until I actually got the package, but that’s not important. There was some miscommunication and the seller thought I already had an original center console and this would be a direct replacement.
Truth is, I don’t. I never opted for it when configuring the car. Basically I got the console with a couple of screws and that about it. I saw the video on college hills for installing this in a fit that didn’t come with it and there are some small but aesthetically necessary parts that I would really need.
The console didn’t come with any of the caps and plugs that are shown in the video. For example, when the stock armrest is removed there will be a large gaping hole left over. There is supposed to be a cap that goes over that. Anyone have those parts for sale?

I contacted college hills about these parts and they basically told me I have to buy the entire kit from them... I am willing to pay for the extra parts but I am not willing to shell out practically $200 for another unit.

ok, since no body replied here i will post an update for anyone who may run into this situation.
I ordered just the kit from a company called zeta products. The parts are made for an 09 but it looks like it should fit just fine. just paid for it today.

Thanks blassty for the reply.
It’s an interesting suggestion. It would definitely hide the bolts and screws from view and make it fit in with the cars interior better. However, I don’t think it would be so aesthetic or provide as good protection that a solid plastic cover would provide. I’m not even sure how electric tape would fit over the armrest hole. I imagine it would look a little messy.
I still haven't installed the thing yet. I realized that I’m missing the floor bracket that college hills shows in the video. Ill probably have to sell the thing if I can’t track down that part.

Crap! I missed that part.
Ok... Well, those cutouts - they were drilled to a specific size. I bet you could find generic black plastic caps in that size at a hardware store, or from an online retailer specializing in little odds and ends.
Edit: then again, given the numbe r of exposed screwheads in a car of the Fits class (center of the interior door lever assemblies, sides of the console up front, etc) and the relatively hidden location at the back of the console, you could probably just paint the screws black and nobody would notice!

Thanks for the offer arlovegreen, but I was able to pretty much get all those little aesthetic nic nacs. what I could really use is the complete replacement floor bracket for installing the armrest. you wouldn't by chance have that part?

Hmmm, I used any mounting hardware that came with mine, but I have a neighbor who might be putting one in during the next week or two. If he does I can get the measurements and take a few photos; you might be able to fashion a bracket out of a few dollars worth of steel from the hardware store.
