He has one black and one white left. $500.00 including switch. get it before its gone =)

He said he had mine painted. Communication was real good and showed me the mirrors painted. Hopefully he ain't full of shit.

Yah, I caught the modding bug. I need to stop spending money. Got a few parts incoming.

I'll do the install maybe my next weekend off. Knowing me, I'll squeeze it in between work. Still waiting for shipment confirmation. So at least a week or two from now.

Oh I forgot to mention.... I've seen it on a GD3 before where he set it up to auto-fold/unfold with lock/unlock... He didn't give much details, but from what I gather he didn't use any extra wiring harness, just tapped in to some wires (ignition, or door lock/unlock signal) not sure which ones or how..

I'd still rather have the JDM harness... if we can ever figure it out..

Just saw their DIY on the mirror covers... they should've given Niko credit if they were going to use some of his photos. --> Fit Fans Forum - DIY covers

They even wrote up a DIY for the auto-folds.... but it seems they addressed the RHD/LHD differences and only swapped applicable parts --> Fit Fans Forum - DIY auto-fold
Motores RHD para países com mão Direita (Inglaterra, Japão...)
- Motor do rebatedor do retrovisor lado direito - Part Number : 76204-TF0-E31
- Motor do rebatedor do retrovisor lado esquerdo - Part Number : 76254-TF0-E31
Ou
Motores LHD para países com mão Esquerda (Brasil, Alemanha e etc).
Os PartNumbers para o ângulo de visualização LHD são:
- Motor do rebatedor do retrovisor lado Direito 76204-TF0-P01
- Motor do rebatedor do retrovisor lado Esquerdo 76254-TF0-P01
Oh... and ryu, iirc the pins have to be removed from the JDM harness, and swapped in to the OEM harness (mirror side).

I bought mine over the weekend, and thought they were already available in CBP, but it turns out he had the primed ones so mine are being painted now.

I remove wires/pins from the connector.

Do the same for USDM mirror connectors. Then you can reuse the OEM connector.

This is what it looks like when you are done. You cannot even tell that I already swap wires/pins.

There are 4 wires left for auto-fold and turn signal.

I will add additional steps later.
I got my Power Folding Mirrors today and i'm getting ready for my install this weekend.

How exactly did u remove the wires from the clip connector? Were u able to just pull them out and stick them into the connector? Or was there some way to unlock/open the clip? I don't want to go around and damage stuff like I usually do. Thanks!

from the Brazilian board, but that pdf you found looks quite detailed...

The vid might be a little helpful.

i received the japanese instructions for the harness. diagrams are pretty straight forward even without translating it to english. the two pin plug is where the Honda remote start would plug in if you have it, other wise you just use the two pin coupler to close the circuit i suppose.

let me know if you need the pdf file.

looks like i won't be able to do the install this weekend. i can't seem to source the pigtails from any honda/acura dealer near my house. i'll have to wait for bernardi to ship them out to me this monday when they get them.

i may be able to put on the winkers and rewire the clip to the OEM.

got right side mirror in. man this is a PITA to do. lots of trouble popping the door, had to get a door popper tool to do it. broke one clip, but its still usable. had trouble removing the pins from JDM plug too. what did u use to pop the locking tab?

i'll try to get the left side on tomorrow and the wiring for the turn signals. its getting dark already.

got both mirrors in. got the left side signal working. trying to do the right side, but the damn rain keeps interrupting me. snaking the coat hanger through the rubber gromet is a pain in the ass and it requires you to have the door fully open. i don't have enough space in my garage to open the door all the way. meh.

i tried to wire the powerfolding on the left side, but i can't seem to get it to work. i tried wire tapping into the JDM harness since it already has pigtails coming from pin 7 and 8. i think i just have a wire tap not seated properly.

damn hope it stops raining so i can at least get the wires through the right side and clean up tomorrow.

Yeah definitely would help. I'll pm you.

Congrats on the quick progress. I'm sure it didn't help that it's been raining all weekend.

Mine have just shipped out, so I'm hoping to get them before the weekend, and hope the weather is mild enough to do the install.

Looks like I'm going to have to find my panel remover tool (plier type) for those clips.

ok i sent the pdf.

Holy crap. Hardest install to do. Fishing through the rubber tube grommet. Popping the doors. Trying to squeeze into that teeny fuse box hole to tap wires. damn taps are a pain in the ass. that was my problem. the taps weren't stripping the wires with my little pliers. bigger pliers definitely worked. Couldn't figure out how to remove the pigtails from the JDM plug. Figured I didn't need them so i dremeled them off.

But I finally got the lights and auto-folding to work.

the wire harness for the alarm auto fold isn't working though. i think the plug at the fuse box for the keyless entry/alarm is different on USDM. need to find out where that is on USDM GE8s.

I wonder if the installation instructions for the remote starter would help? http://www.bernardiparts.com/Images/...r_AII39870.pdf

Might need a pin swap? hopefully not the whole remote starter wiring.

Looks great so far!

Maybe this might help?

I think the auto-fold on lock install might be similar to this DIY --> DIY: Power Folding Mirrors - Honda CRZ Forum: Honda CR-Z Hybrid Car Forums specifically the "constructing the harness" section.

he was very vague about what those pins/wire control. i'm not quite sure if we share the same color wires and connectors. and it was too confusing to follow where each thing goes. i'll give it a deeper read when i get home tonite.
