Hi! First time fit owner here. Bought a used 2010 with 148k miles. Currently doing some maintenance on it. Not sure if the guy who sold it knew or simply hadn't driven it long enough to see the issues. Oh well.

It runs OK if I can get it up to highway speeds. But the second I slow down in a turn or a stop light, it will stall and not crank back up anymore. Until it "rests" or cools off long enough. Then it will work again.

I've noticed that if I turn the key to "on", wait about 5 seconds, and then crank, it will never start. It just turns over and over strongly but no ignition. If I stick the key in and immediately try to crank, it has a much better chance of starting. So that means that the fuel pump is priming but then immediately losing pressure, right? I've been learning more about cars and engines out of necessity but I'm not great at it yet.

I've got no codes. No check engine light.

It has the OEM coil packs so I'm gonna change those and new spark plugs. It has a new battery.

I have ordered coil packs, spark plugs, fuel pump relay, fuel pump, CKP sensor, valve cover gasket, and the tools needed to do a valve adjustment.

So I think I'm looking for an issue that gets worse once the components heat up?
