Dropped Ratchet - Lands perfectly inbetween battery terminals
Okay,
So I have the worst freaking luck. I was doing some work on my 2011 FIT..next thing I know, accidentally drop my ratchet and it lands wedged RIGHT INBETWEEN the battery terminals. There was a nice spark and then the wrench was literally stuck on there. I was finally able to pry it off with the end of a hammer, and it took quite a bit of force to get it off. (Went flying upon removal) Was on there for about a minute.
Currently have battery reconditioning on the charger right now.
Is there anything I should be concerned about? X.x
Thanks in advance!

Instant welding machine. My luck is often the same as yours. I usually disconnect the negative battery cable and wrap a shop towel around the cable end to insulate it from touching anything. I'm with Frenzal, in that your battery may be damaged.

Update:
Tried to recondition battery with my charger. No luck.
Had to get a new battery. Found one from NAPA for 130 bucks. 😑 Expensive mistake on my part. Definitely kept the covers that came with the new battery to prevent this from happening again.

I caught a ratchet on fire once arcing it across a 28VDC battery bank, lots of fun!!! Sears rebuilt the ratchet for me after the internals melted. Still have the ratchet somewhere.
Glad it didn't cause any further issues.

I just remember running around the house looking for my hammer because it wasn't in my toolbox the one time I need it.
I also remember my wife asking what the hell I was doing.
"Nothing.. *pant*.. battery.. *pant*.. short circuited."
Finally found the bastard after 1min 30sec of vigorously searching, ran back, and took nearly all my strength to pry it off. Good times.
