Cool It's the little things build.

**********************Thread Info.***** From now on when I update this thread with new stuff that is significant to the build like a finished install, I will post all pictures in the original 1st post (this one that you are reading right now). I have also removed all old post after this and moved them into this first post. I have updated my opinions on some things I since time has gone by now. You do not need to go digging unless you want to read the questions/comments below and posts that I consider non significant like random images of work getting done or possible parts choices etc. Its been a long time since I started this so some of the earlier information is not relevant anymore but the later is up to date. I also removed alot that I consider not worth talking about.

The modifications will get bigger as the post goes on. So, Don't get turned off by the first few images. The good stuff is at the bottom.
So over the past 2 months I have found myself getting alot of enjoyment picking up little things that normally with other builds I wouldn't even consider because I was saving for expensive mods. This will be a work in progress thread I guess and I will update as such. I went back and edited all the pics to have the links to the items purchased to help out anyone who wants to know. Thanks for looking.

This is the standered sized shift knob and to get the red ring you must pay for the color pack.

Some Led Lights I got from a user on here a long time ago. They still work though after 10 ish years.

Don't do this.. I wrapped the fog lights with a yellow film. Looks cool at first but drys and cracks after a while and is crazy to get off. I think I replaced one because of this.

Still one of my favorite mods.

So glad I got that from lip when I did. They are no longer available from Honda

This shifter thing is made by H-fit which I have no idea if they are still around anymore. This works fine but does give off a audible vibration.

That's it for the old Now on to the New

So, Its been a long time since I have posted on here.. Hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to give an update on my GE8 fit. I have finally retired the car after 11+ years and just over 270k miles.
I love my fit.
Also, I am the 2nd owner of this car. I purchased it with 20k on it. I BEAT THE HELL OUT OF THIS CAR. It is still on original engine, transmission and clutch. I also have never changed the rear drum brakes.
It did an ac compressor, clutch master and alot of tires / oil changes.
What a great car!!!
With that said. NOW!!!!!! The Fun Begins.

k24a2 with RBC and a Bosch drive by wire 82mm throttle body with our in house adapters. The car will be all the time e85+ with flex fuel capability . Manual 5 speed transmission with z3 limited slip.

k24a2

I believe I have everything I need for the swap except wiring and parts to make the header tubes.

The New NRG SFI approved racing hub. Doesn't allow for a horn but I am ok with that. I got one of these for each of the wheels.

Spacro Leather

Sparco Suede

Grip Royal wood grain. - Dont buy these wheels. They are junk.

This is for the 8th gen civic but the fit is the same. That bracket spins with the steering wheel as you turn but like the buttons would attached to the wheel.

So, She has taken a beating and needs alot of love. Lucky for her I know all the right things to get her all cleaned up.

We are starting with some new Black Housing Headlights. I also was looking to see if I could move the battery to the fender like some of the older Honda's but that's not going to be a thing. No room.

These wheels have seen over 10 sets of tires. Not to mention you can no longer get FN01R-C's. Half my car is discontinued at this point. So
its time to redo the wheels. Some fresh powder coat and new logos to match.

Getting a New JDM H Part Number 75700-S5T-E01 if anyone is interested. This is what they look like with over 250K on them.

New Connectors for the new Headlights

CR-Z 5 Lug and Rear Disc Parts for Fit Conversion

crz torsion bar getting prepped for powder coating

removing the bushings for some fresh poly ones.

k24 prep

304 Stainless Flange ready to start assembling a header for the swap.
In addition to that once everything is on the engine I can start prepping/laying out the harness.

Fit Steel LCA vs CR-Z Aluminum LCA. Bushings were shot on the fit LCA so it was a replacement upgrade.

5 Lug Spindle Conversion, The fit knuckles and cr-z spindles have been powder coated. ARP extended studs. All new Honda Bolts

CR-Z Brakes - Rotors are incorrect and don't fit

CR-Z Brakes - Rotors are incorrect and don't fit. Calipers were powder coated red.
Update ** I purchase a cheap set of aluminum 3mm wheel spacers and machined the OD smaller to fit behind the rotor. Rotor sits where it needs to now. This works find because of my extended studs.

Wheel

Wheel closer

Rear Bar Bushings and some fresh paint

CR-Z Torsion Bar Installed

CR-Z Hubs, Calipers and Rotors. Extended lungs to match the front

Still Have more work to go before the wheels go on

Rear disk just looks so good compared to drums

Front angle of wheels

Close up

K24 Installed.

k24a2 swap

first issue I am running into is clearance between the electric water pump, alternator and the radiator/fans. This radiator is a s2000 rad with mishimoto fan/shroud combo. The setup hits both the water pump and alternator.

I agree! It is fun to purchase little modes that some people might not even notice. Your car is looking great - it is those little touches that makes us happy. I have Dom Kun riding shot gun in my little cubby on the left side of the steering wheel. LOL!

I like your little things build... I'm in that vein myself.

I also have the Blox shortie... I hated the Honda flagpole
antenna.

Next I'm considering some Honda pieces to spruce up the
interior some.

If anything I'm thinking about stepping up to a taller antenna... The stock little one doesn't seem to do so well.
