ge8 custom air box

I would not call that a 'custom' air-box though, that is what's referred to in the automotive industry, as a 'hack job'.

I did something not quite as drastic. I will take pics later today. And your right there was still a difference in throttle response and top end power.

my intake is a little different now hahah its a little cleaned up and it flows more but this is a better intake then a cold air because when it rains or if the scoop was to get into water the stock opening will let air to get threw the intake with out having water pulled up. now i have a little velocity stack on the front haha i painted it flat black and i think it looks pretty good

good job how do you like it. BTW you can put that cover on the box back on it is sealed no air can be drawn from there unless you cut it out like i did. i have no idea why it is there.maybe to quite the intake charge.

i thought it had an air passage through it hahah but anyways i have it back on now cuz im thining of making some kinda heat sheild to block off the whole side of the engine bay

cut the maf tube out and couple it to any DIY $40 autozone intake kit. DO IT!!!

i might do it make a prm type setting. still cheaper then buying a 250$ intake i guess.

you can buy an intake lid (the part that has the MAF tube) from bernardi parts for less than $20.
