Gearbox clatter
My Jazz has about 18000Km on the clock and I've recently started hearing a strange clattering noise while accelerating in 2nd gear under certain conditions. When the road is a bit bumpy or going over a speed bump, that’s when I hear it. It doesn't last long either, just a second or two while accelerating in 2nd.
It sounds like its coming from the gearbox.
Has anyone else maybe experienced this?

I can not think of anything that would be "bump" sensitive on your MT.
One strong possibility is one of the heat shields on your exhaust. That can tie into certain RPM ranges or hitting bumps........just my humble $.02

Had the dealer check it out, there is definitely a clattering sound coming from the front of the Jazz. Its only present while driving on a bumpy/corrugated road in a low gear.
They are going to test one of their demo models and see if they can hear the sound under the same circumstances. I’m convinced its gearbox related, maybe the Jazz just has a noisy gearbox.
Got the following info from http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/honda/jazzfit-2008/?section=bad. It may be related to my issue.
What to watch out for:
Report of manual transmission becoming noisy after jsut 6 months. The Honda fix is to leave it to 6,000 miloes then change the transmission oil, presumably to drain off any swarf before it gets ground up enough to get into the bearings.
Reports of defective clutch release bearings, replaced under warranty.
