There's a location under the GE8, which looks like a plastic piece was designed to go. Does anyone know the story on this?

I've fabricated a piece of aluminum to go here, but I'd rather have the honda OEM piece.

 

I have wondered that myself, would love to have a full tray under the motor like my Subarus had. Its a bit of a pain when you change oil, but def worth it to keep the bay clean.

It even has places for the plate to connect, makes me wonder if its not on a JDM version standard.

 

Removed for Americans to get there big hands in there during oil changes? Definitely wasn't a cost issue for something so cheap...hmm. Get a beatrush, I know I am.

 

Yeah, which is why I'm thinking that there's a part somewhere. The people in Germany complain about it, because closing that bottom part off will reduce wind noise on the autobahns quite a bit.

So, it's not on EDM.


I have a piece of 18ga aluminum under there right now, it just does not fit real well, and I'd rather use OEM parts because they're actually engineered.
