Thanks! Yeah I am reeeeeeally happy with it. It really does look nice in the car and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Combined with the tint there's no way anyone will see what's in the cargo area.

Installed Clazzio Seat Skins

Spent the morning installing a set of Clazzio leather seat skins from Bean Garage. I originally was going to go cheap with the all vinyl PVC covers. After I got a few sample swatches of the leather and vinyl from Spencer at Bean Garage I upgraded my order to the leather insert. They were in-stock and went right out, the vinyl was back ordered from Japan and would still be a few weeks out. It was a good thing for the back order, gave me time to make the right decision and not have to live with the vinyl skins, not that that would have been bad, but the leather is much nicer, IMHO.

Spencer has been great answering my questions and providing great service, not to mention the free shipping.

Here's the before picture

And the forever after picture.

One note, the 2011 Fit has different rear headrests than the 09 & 10. This just came to light last week. So the set I received only had the center rear head rest, the two outer rear head rests are back ordered and will take about 8 weeks to get in.

Next up is the center console arm-rest. It was supposed to get here yesterday but adverse weather held up UPS so it won't get in until Monday. Oh well, gave me a chance to get my second tank of gas and break into 400 miles on the odometer while sitting on my new seat skins.

Factory Center Armrest

Installed the official Honda center console armrest. A big thanks to JamFred for his DIY, it helped a lot.

Now I'm going to drive the Fit for awhile before I figure out my next project on it. Well, not quite. I have some plastic mesh fencing to use as a lower grill shield, but until I get a road trip planned that can wait for some nicer weather.

Last night I went for a pseudo random cruise after leaving work (@9 PM). Normally I just have the urge to pick a direction or road and drive until I feel like turning around. This time, the urge was random, but I wanted to see if I could follow the Fox river from Ottawa (or is it Ottowa?), IL, up tp the state border.

Along the way to the river, I drove through some fog, a covered bridge, some thicker fog... and found a nuclear power plant. My guess is that the plant and fog are related. >.>

After that, I found a nice (but short) twisty road. When they say "10 mph" for a turn, they ain't kidding!!! While I made it around 20 mph, I almost went off the road twice.

Took a while, but I got myself to the river. Then I started following it... only to end up driving across an airfield onto a dirt road. My GPS said it was road, but it got to a point that I thought it was entering private property. I came to a stop before entering, and almost got stuck right there. Eventually i turned around and got the heck out of there. So, I had to cross the airfield again to get out.

After that... I gave up and just hopped on the highway and headed home.

Got home at about 3 AM.

Your random cruise is a lot like what I have liked to do since I was a kid...There is nothing like seeing nothing but trees on both sides of the roads you have been on for hours without a clue as to where the hell you are with you low fuel light having been on for what feels like twice the length of time you have been driving... It sounds like you had a pretty good adventure.

I used to do random cruise hours on end when I had a full blown SQ audio setup in my old accord.

First of all I gotta say that those Clazzio seat covers look sick!! Def may be checking those out as I miss the leather seats on the HHR I just traded for the Fit

I installed the gas pedal spring mod last nihgt....unbelievable the difference it made! My commute is 100 miles r/t each day and my leg was kiiling me by the time I'd get to work or home...today no pain at all and the gas pedal feels like it should! The car is actually fun for me to drive again ...I thought I had made a big mistake

Def have somes mods lined up...ordered the bumper strip protector today, going to pick up the center console from Bernardi this Saturday and maybe install this weekend (was going to have the dealer do it until I read the instructions....pretty straight forward I think) Maybe buy the cargo tray as well....I like the FIT door runners too but man a lot of cake just for those lol

Oh added a Harley Davidson decal on the back....that turns some heads lol
