Sunroof?

I want a Fit but for me a sunroof is a must have. Even if Honda offers up their panoramic roof, I won't be happy. Has anyone out there gone the aftermarket route?

I feel the same. I also wanted a sunroof really bad, but I needed the car, and can't wait 2 more years if they ever offer it.

Also wanted leather seats (heat & cool), and bluetooth on the Navi, but I guess I'll have to take what I can get.. hmmm Maybe if they made an Acura Fit we might get those options.

I was thinking about this option

but I gotta weigh the pro's & con's first.

I hadn't seen that one. Thanks.

leather, heated seats would be nice with a 6 speed manual and a small turbo.

I actually just got this on the '09 I got; the car is going back there on thursday to get completed since I had it painted so I'll post pics once I get it back.

You can kind of see the cut out in the roof here:

Yup!!! That's what I'm talking about, I'd even be happy with just the 6th gear overdrive for hwy.
I know this is an entry level Honda, and they're trying to keep the costs down, but I wished they offered more options. I'd be willing to pay more for factory sunroof, leather, etc.
I read an article in the Times, which said that even though Americans are buying smaller cars, they are still buying them fully loaded. The market is there obviously.

I saw the link in a different post, and didn't think anyone was doing it.
All I can say is WOW, that is NICE!!!!!!!!!!!

I also read on here for a while now that cutting a sun roof in will weaken the body structure, are they reinforcing the roof in anyway while doing this process?
About how much is the sunroof with installation?

I'm guessing that you're doing some major work other than the sunroof, or did they have to remove all that stuff regardless.

Please post pics when its finished, if it looks nice now, I can't imagine how good it will look when everything is done.

Right now all I have is the opening cut for it and a surrounding that they installed in the mean time. Come Thursday they're going to be finishing it off, adding some more reinforcements, etc... I'll get some pics up to show how it's done.

What's in the pic above isn't sunroof related, it was just done before the car was painted to make it as clean as possible, although I doubt it'd make a difference. The car is actually being done for SEMA but I'll make a new thread on that later on.

Thumbs up

That's good to know that they are reinforcing it. I can barely see the outline of the sunroof, but it's visible, it looks nice, and I want that on my new Fit as well.

If you can please take a pic of the interior roof controls also.

Aproximately how much was the sunroof with installation?
Thanks.

Alright, sorry for the delay but I just got the car back last night from the guys at Webasto. The quality is great, can't really even tell it's an aftermarket sunroof. Here are the pics, enjoy:

the_gene, can you post more pics of your car? Looks like you have a tan leather interior and a funky blue paint job?

PS. moonroof looks great!

It looks practically factory!!! It definately looks like it belongs there, Honda should have definately offered this as an option.

This is a definate a mod I will have to do in the future! Right now I need to prioritize what I am going to get first (some JDM parts).

I've been thinking its between the Webasto 700(traditional 1 pane moonroof) , and 935 (dual pane moonroof).

I like the way the inside looks, as if it came from Honda, with the exception of the drop in the ceiling, but there has to be a little sacrifice.

Thanks again for sharing your pics.

You make it seem like you've asked someone to post a price seventeen times, yet you haven't even asked once.

Most people would try contacting Webasto direct.

All of their literature has blank pricing, and/or says to contact a local dealer.
