I called American Honda last week and I already has a case number but its been a week now and the case manager haven't called me back. I called them back again today but still wasn't able to talk to my case manager.

If you want to get in touch with the original case worker , try this . Call 1-888-234-2138 . Then have that person give you the direct phone line to the first worker . Should start with 909 . Not free , but more likely to catch that person . If no answer , leave a message . Need to be persistent . Don't be concerned about being a nuisance , safety is the issue . Good luck .

Spoke to our worker today and was told the form to keep your car at home will become available to download at their site . How soon , I don't know . Was also told it's accessible through Honda dealers from Honda corporation . Seems many dealers are not aware of this . So , you'll likely need to ask them to print it out .

My insurance is covering the loaner, for 21 days at a time. My Honda Corporate guy said that he is looking into renewing the loaner at 21 days instead of 30 like they usually do. The documentation is a good idea, and it says that on the recall website. Thank you for that idea.

When I talked with Honda Corporate, they said that they would provide a new car every 30 days. So that might match up with your insurance.

Just joined the forum to post about my experience getting a loaner. Had an appointment with the dealer this morning and called Honda Corporate to get a case number and a case manager. Never heard from case manager but I had no issues getting a loaner. They had the forms already that you need to sign if you decide to store your vehicle at home versus the dealer. They said it was all new information they had just received. They had enterprise pick me and set me up with a rental (2015 Chevy Malibu--no Honda Fit but I'm not complaining). I believe I need to bring the car in every 30 days and fill out the paper work again.
Hopefully parts come in before June as I'm going to miss my car (and I've only owned it for a year!). The whole process was very painless however. All I showed up with at the dealer is the recall notice, my corporate case number, and rental policy statement from the honda website.
Good luck everyone!

Also--to protect yourself ask for copies of all invoices and documentation from the dealer and from the rental company, including the purchase order from the car dealer, and the invoice from the rental car company. Make sure it states that they are billing Honda and not you. Enterprise seemed very unphased by the process and knew what was going on with the recall so hopefully that's another road block avoided for some of you.

Is it mandatory that you have to leave the car at the dealer? I just got a 09 sport model with 2 recalls under it's belt. I was thinking of just waiting till the parts are ready and then bring the car in to have both recall fixed. Bad idea?

Yeah it's a bad idea! If you get into an accident your risking your life.
Read above, you don't have to leave your car at the dealer. Go get your loaner car, park the Fit and take this down time to work on it or something.
