Hi guys. Thanks about this forum i have know about this recall.I'm glad that most of you had receive a rental car to use when the new replace part is ready to install in our cars.I have a small problem.I don't have a job in this moment and Enterprise is asking me to pay $20 everyday for car insurance.I can't pay $20 everyday.Looks that i will keep driving my car hoping that i don't get a car accident with my GE8.....

Yes, rental coverage is only available usually when the personal car has full coverage (both collision and comprehensive).
With my former carrier, StateFarm, I could add the comprehensive coverage any time for any period of time (e.g. taking a week off vacation and driving cross country).
So, if you add the rest of the coverage to make it fully covered, that might cost you less than paying 20$ a day to the rental company.
Good luck.

That's pretty cool! I wonder how many people are going to sell their Fits when this is over and get something totally different? I can't afford to....
Does anyone know if replacements have turned up in Florida, New Orleans, etc?

Redlight, I think the replacements are meant to arrive in Florida in mid-April. Have you heard anything?

I have it on a battery tender, too.

my Ford Fiesta rental showed a " maintenance needed" sign on the dashboard this morning, has anybody had this?
Do i need to call enterprise?
I emailed the dealer but did NOT get any response?
Can anybody suggest what course of action I need to take?
Thanks

Why wouldn't you just take it over to Enterprise and tell them the maintenance light came on? You could switch cars if you had to.

Enterprise put me in a 2015 Chrysler 200S a week and a half ago and now the "oil change needed" indicator is coming on every time I start it. It's annoying, and I'm not really a fan of this big hunk of metal, so I may drop in tomorrow and see if I can exchange. If anything, I think this experience is going to teach me that I still really love my Fit and don't want to be in anything else! That said, it's been about 10 years since I've had a car with an automatic transmission, and I might be getting used to not having to work so hard on my daily commute! (Though I'm still going for the clutch about once per trip)!

I had this on the Ford Focus I rented. Call Enterprise and they will tell you when the oil change should take place. If it is on schedule (the oil change now) you can replace the car or take it to any national oil change chain (firestone, etc) and tell them to bill it to Enterprise and show your contract.

As an example:
During the first years that I stored my Civic for the winter months, I would start it for 20 minutes once per month to charge the battery. After 2 years, had to change all the exhaust gaskets (exhaust was new, replaced 2 years before that). Then, bought a battery tender, and for the last 6 years, never started the car during winter. Never replaced any other exhaust gasket since then...
