Multiple Cylinder Misfires Detected
Hi all,
First time poster here, but I've browsed the site multiple times over the years for help related to my fit. I have a 2009 base Honda Fit (automatic) with about 80 000 kms on it. No major problems with it. I searched around the forums for help with this problem but didn't find anything specifically addressing what I am looking for so I figured I'd try to post.
About a week ago the malfunction indicator lamp lit up. I went over to Canadian Tire and bought a basic OBD II reader, and it gave me the following codes (each one twice actually): P0302, P0303, P0300 (cylinder 2 misifre, cylinder 3 misfire, random cylinder misfire, respectively) - I didn't clear the light. So I looked around online and on fitfreak and figured the first thing I'd try was putting some fuel injector cleaner in the tank before looking into the spark plugs, coil packs, etc. After about 3 days (before I added the fuel injector cleaner) the light went off by itself, but I added some fuel injector cleaner anyways the next time I filled up (Gumout Regane Fuel System Cleaner).
Now it's been a couple more days and the light has not been back on. Should I be concerned, or is everything fine? The entire time I didn't notice anything strange with how the engine was running, but I'm not the most car-knowledgey guy.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks
