Will 14" wheels fit on a 2010 Fit Sport?

I am looking to buy snow tires and have seen a 14" option on more than one tire store site. I just want to make sure it's okay to go with 14" wheels and that the car won't be too low. I plan on getting standard steel wheels.
I can't believe how expensive 4 snow tires and basic steel wheels are.

I'm fairly certain you have to get a tire that can make up the difference. If you need snow tires it might not be best to go too low for winter. As the snow gets deep regardless of tire you will lose traction. I'm running cooper touring all seasons and I do fine on ice, snow & rain but in the deep snow i bottom out.
Whatever you do please repost I'm interested in the results. When I asked about steelies and snow tires they said it wasn't worth the $ at the shop I go to. I haven't had a problem so I didn't push it. Where I live I mostly deal with slush, frozen slush, drifty icy snow & morons. We only get deep for a week or so here and there.

Yes you can. I used 14" steelies for my snow tires. Just make sure the rolling diameter of the 14" tire is the same as the rolling diameter of the stock 16" (there are plenty of calculators on the web to help with this).

What about 195 vs 185 would they fit? I'm searching craigslist for tires and just want to know all of my options.

You can use either but many say a more narrow tire is better for cutting through snow.

Can you tell me if these would work?

Bridgestone Blizzak WS70 SL (195/65R-15) they come with steel rims that came off of a 2014 Honda Civic LX Sedan. Would the bolt pattern be the same?

i think civics are a five bolt pattern and it would be 195/60/15 to match the speedometer. Not sure what you are looking to spend but 4 new steel rims +winter tires for $435 on tirerack right now. Also, that is a good place to look up tire sizes and compare.

Kept my 14" wheels from my 1999 Civic with the Civic tires (185/65-14) and no problem on the fit.

Really close to the caliper in front...

Look at my thread here: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...-2014-fit.html

Just ordered 14 steelies with 175x70 for my 13 sport. Discount tire recommended the Hankook snow tires so I gave them a try. I have been running the General articmax with good results,

14'' steelies will fit properly. Go with 185/70/14 and you will be happy! :-)

Bananaclip, let us know how you like the Hankook compared to the Altimax, I was looking to switch for them later on.

They arrived 2 days ago and the tread pattern is very similar to the generals. We are supposed to get our first snow this weekend so I will get them mounted up shoot some pics and give a review of the Hankooks. The tire itself looks great with deep tread blocks. I feel they will do fantastic
