Stock l15a7 engine swap issues
Recently my girlfriend did not tighten the oil drain plug enough and ran the car dry. We ordered a used l15a7 and swapped them pretty easy. My mechanic did I should say. A few days later we died out while driving similar too when the alternator goes out. Dash went out and power died. If we let it sit a while it will start again but we noticed a rubbing / slight grinding sound maybe. Since then the car won't stay running and the noise is persistent .the alternator has been checked and is good, battery is good . Car won't start on its own. Possible bad ground some place? I don't know. Their is not a lot of information or diagrams for wiring or vital grounding locations.... Any links or information would be great the noise sounds like it comes from the tranny . Also a sensor was not connected when we first installed the engine resulting in a blinking D. We connected a sensor that we found unplugged and that resolved the blinking ,d. We did not drive or accelerate above 2500 rpm while resolving the blinking D. I mention this maybe in hopes it would indicate another procedure we may have missed. I call Honda and they have no techs with experience replacing such a new motor at my local dealership. I have already had a rental for two weeks. This has become a. Nightmare too diagnose. Help please

Just got the alternator checked and it is good. My mechanic is pretty busy. I was lucky enough too get the swap done in 3 days, on a days notice . It was also done in my driveway. He won't be available too come back till Thursday. I'm doing what I can in the meantime. From what I have read it is indicating a fouled ground someplace or crossed electrical somehow.... I'm feeling like it has just gotten out of my reach as far as available knowledge goes.
