Coolant Replacement

Coolant Replacement
Where are the coolant system bleeder valves (or burp valves, if you prefer) on the 2nd Gen.? The 1st Gen. had two coolant system bleeder valves, as I recall.
Do we have a DIY for Coolant Replacement?
Thanks.

funny you should ask, since i did my '12's coolant today. take the plastic cover off the bottom side of the engine bay (just a few philips screws and those annoying push button retainers) you will see a white plastic drain plug on the right side of the radiator, located almost directly below the fill cap. no tools are required to remove it, since it isn't extremely tight from the factory.

Thanks, Hungry.
The radiator drain plug, the coolant reservoir, the radiator and radiator cap are not the problem. I am trying to find out if there is a bleed valve that one uses to rid the cooling system of air that enters during the coolant replacement process. My recollection is that the 1st Gen. Fit had a hard line back near the firewall that had a valve in it, and there might have been a second valve somewhere.
Guess I'll have to google search the internet.

Here's a pretty good diagram of the system.

I wonder if this "Water Outlet" thing has a valve on it . . . ?

to get rid of the air, fill the system with coolant, turn heat on, keep the radiator cap open and start the engine. wait until the thermostat opens by looking at the radiator fan. As soon as the fan turns on, you can shut the engine down, top off the radiator and close the cap. after one or two drives, top off the expansion reservoir.
