How Spirited Are You

Yes.
But it'd be much more cost efficient to buy a faster car.
Although, anyone who gets 24 MPG in a Fit in a fair weather climate is likely a danger to everyone on the road...so you may be better off on roller skates.

I'm right around 35mpg right now with 68K miles on my '09. I used to be around 39mpg but with the change in commute to work (from 26 mi each way - to - 3 miles each way) the economy has seriously dropped - however I don't put the same kind of miles on the car. While I'm not redlining the car, I am a spirited driver as I maintain speed through corners (which there are plenty of in VT) whenever I am on longer trips.

On my first 24k miles I got 44.5 mpg. 12k miles into this year I'm at 47.0. Yes, I see the redline and yes, I see speeds well past the posted limit- almost every day. Spirited and bad mileage only mean the same thing if you don't know what you're doing.
mike410b- A kid with an automatic who thinks the gas pedal has only two positions could do it. The locals are safer with him in something underpowered and lightweight.
